Nah IIRC the creator DID confirm that both Peter (YB) and Sarah (YG) are aware that they're in a game/not real. also I think they said that originally it was supposed to be only the two of em, but later they decided that every character in the game is aware that they're not real - they just don't care enough to do anything about it. He doesn't *want* to be your boyfriend, or play this game at all. (Context clue: "seriously, I'm losing interest in you every millisecond." People who are forced and stuck with other people that they don't want to be with usually would react in this way. Imagine you're in this group project with people that you hate, and everything they do or say disappoints and upsets you more and more. Most would react in a similar way to this).

From what I’ve seen, he actually asks you to call him CB in the asshole route, so I think all it would do is just make more sense to call him CB in that route than the others because when you call him CB in the other routes Y/N says “How about we DO call you CB?” which seems out of place and out of context since you’re acting like that’s what he wants but he never mentioned it to you (unless you wanna go Meta and play the asshole route first then go back and play the others while calling him CB, and it’s like Y/N is referring to that time).

Apparently the creator confirmed that it was OOC for him to speak to the player like that, no matter what they chose. They are going to change that in the final game. The creator didn't write those lines herself, it was someone else on the team
