This video made me respect elegant so much more. This luigi doesn’t drop combos but he also only goes for grab. Elegant makes luigi having a neutral look possible and doesn’t even hit combos as clean as this

Man i love luugi's style but there is so many times he could have punished sisqui with a smash attack, tornado or a million other things and instead just tries to grab and miss😓😓

I genuinely believe this matchup is actually worst then the Belmonts. Samus has higher air drift and speed then the Belmonts and can easily react to what Luigi wants to do, her grab outranges Luigis grab. She juggles him really well and ledgetraps him super hard. She has multiple ways to put him off stage very easily. The 0 to death doesnt work on her at all. Samus doesnt need to interact at all and she has every tool to keep him out and if she gets a stock lead, she basically wins and probably so much more I didnt list but yea bad bad matchup
You can edgeguard Belmonts but Samus just recovers after 6 Gimps lol
Belmonts is still harder for luigi because they can safely pressure shield with fairs and bairs and they can just ignore the fire ball with their whip as well. And their projectiles are just added pressure.
@@andrevanderlinden8722 yeah belmonts whip is so hard to deal with in neutral they can just retreat and do fair and f tilt Luigi on the ground, they can also ignore fireball like you said. the matchup is also worse because they ledgue trap Luigi way harder, bomb can be difficult to get past at ledge but belmonts can set up cross and axe and just have holy water as an active hit box that even two frames sometimes and if you do get past all that they just f tilt you back off stage. Getting off ledgue verses belmonts is way harder and they outrage Luigi more than samus.
Also the zero to death does work it’s just way harder you have to go for a variant or hit them with a fireball or zair first to do the normal one and the samus camping isn’t that bad because fireball and zair both stop samus missile and also charge shot if it’s smaller than like halfway charge both matchups suck but I think belmonts are slightly worse because of ledge trapping and just the whip in general

If you played Luigi you'd understand that he literally has to. His only win condition against Samus is to get a grab and try to kill him off of it, the matchup literally demands it because Samus invalidates Luigi otherwise
