Loved your video, and congrats on your harvesting a very nice bull. I got drawn this year (2021) for a bull, zone #1, October hunt. I'm a resident. After 21 years of applying, my daughter got drawn, 2001, 811lb bull, 20 minutes in, Monday morning. 2007 I got pulled. 635lb cow. Thursday morning. 27 years of applying, resident, and yeah, by then, hadn't given up, but was beat, thought it wasn't happening. This is my 3rd time, and have been on 7 other hunts with hunting buddy's, but each one was still, the hunt of a lifetime. No two hunts the same. An experience most don't get. A lifetime of stories and memories to be shared. Truly blessed. You guys were completely out of your element, miles and miles from home, had your doubts, and in the end, praised the animal, your guide, and the Lord. All of you are welcome back, at any time, in my book! Great bunch of guys! Best of luck on any and all of your future adventures. Trivia time........ Many Lakes, Rivers, and Towns names are French-Canadian or Indian influenced. The official name of the lake you stayed at is Chemquasabamticook Lake. Ross Lake for short Say that 3 times fast! 😊 TYFS, Mark and Rosa
@@shanelizotte9814 Could be a blessing that you didn't get pulled this year. Way to warm this year, and they weren't moving. Had to get WAY in off the roads and find them. Early total results for end of 2nd week, zone 1, was 42% success rate. 87 people, out of 150 went home eating "Tag stew". Guess what I'm saying is, keep the faith, and enjoy the experience. It will come. Best of luck Shane
I drew a tag to hunt after 20 years of trying. Been watching moose hunting videos non stop to check shot placement I've got to say this is my favorite video so far. You guys did an amazing job on the video and editing. Hopefully this Texan can have the same luck . Great job guys!
I live in Quebec,Canada and my dream it,s a chance to hunt the moose in Maine USA because i,m very sick and the life is short. Thanks you for your video,i,m happy for you,i love the USA and i,m sure you,re a good guys.God Bless.
Eating like a Moose 🤣🤣..yessssssssssssss, I am so glad u got em, bcus this was a sad story 😢. I am so proud of u guys....Thank u lord.!!!😃😃👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾💯💯💯💯
Welcome to Maine! Glad you fellows were successful. Nothing like the feeling one gets being in the big woods and dropping a big 'ol bull moose! Hope Lady Luck stays with you guys, because there are more moose, and more tags for your next trip!
I’ve been on guided hunts I’ve worked as a guide in the Midwest and helped on many guided hunts in ME my home state. The LUV hunting and getting to harvest animals but guiding allows the guide especially on a moose hunt to have the whole experience of the hunt but because it is for most a once in a lifetime trip to experience it as a first every time. This is the BEST feeling for me and has left me shaking uncontrollably, yelling like a little kid, dancing around like a fool and crying do to the overwhelming emotions it brings out. All these things happen and it’s not your kill but being part of a first for most hunters brings back that first buck kill or turkey harvest every single time and that for me is more enjoyable an experience!!!! Great video even though I know I’m way behind watching it!!!
Just stumbled onto your video. I live in Maine so glad you guys got to come out and see the states best! That first small bull was a fighter! you can see where the hide had been all beat to heck from getting his butt whooped. Hunting moose is so addicting and I am glad the state does a good job of selling the right amount of tags to keep a good population and numbers to harvest. Unfortunately, that means very difficult to get a tag even as a resident. Moose hunting is a huge mind game. You bust your butt for days and just have to keep your head up because it only takes 5 minutes to change it all!
Thanks for capturing this hunt and sharing it with everyone. You guys make some great quality videos that are very enjoyable to watch, felt like i was on the hunt with you! Glad you didn't give up after a couple slow days. Being persistent in the woods is often the difference between success and failure. I know many people who have been applying for that Maine Moose tag for more than 15 years without success. Drawing it the first year and shooting a nice bull is truly a blessing! Congrats
Congratulation s hope you had a great time and now you guys will be back with the North Maine woods bug !!!!! It's only cured by multiple trips great looking moose by the way from a hunter who's from Maine but never can get over it
Thanks so much! We had an awesome time and weekly have dreams of coming back and seeing more of Maine’s wonders. It’s a magnificent place buddy! Thanks for the kind words.
Saw a trailer for one of your videos shared on a Facebook page. Black American Outdoorsman. Came here to check you out. Very enjoyable video. Nicely produced. Just subscribed.
Did you guys draw a non-resident Moose permit? I'm amazed if so the odds are SO against non-residents. I drew as a resident in the early 90's and have been applying non-resident for nearly 2 decades.
Nice hunt, fellas! I’m from Maine and moved to Tennessee 6 years ago. Lots of deer, down here. A guided moose hunt is a life changer, eh? How are you enjoying the moose meat?
We’re enjoying man! Took a while to figure out how to cook it, turns out this guy was 9 yrs old, so you gotta soften him up a little hahaha. Thanks for watching!
I loved my hunt. 2015 bull. Ended up getting one, 910 field dressed. If you don’t mind me asking, what zone we’re you in? I was zone 4 just past the golden road.
Congrats on your bull man, thats a hammer. It was zone one. Truthfully man all I can remember is the maybech connector??? I don’t even know if that’s how you spell it.
Probably about Milinocket area would be about as far north as I'd personally go. I could be wrong, but locals that I have talked to from around there have said that the deer really struggle to get away from predators in the deeper snow. I'm from central Maine, near Augusta. Around here, there are a lot of smaller bucks and does taken, but I think that's because a lot of people don't really put in the time. My family owns a decent chunk of land, and we have that place loaded with game cameras. If you find a big area that hunters are fairly selective, some big guys roam around.
@Theodore Check your facts.... Anyone who hunts any species with a firearm or crossbow in a Wildlife Management District that is open to moose hunting must wear one article of solid-colored hunter orange clothing (hats count).
Man I love it when the algorithm dumps a video into my feed like this. Absolutely killer production quality and what a stud of a moose.
Never ever give up, no matter the outcome do your absolute best ! If its meant to be it will be. Thanks for sharing

I would not watch many 30+ minute UA-cam videos... I'd watch that one again. Great hunt, great experience, great filming and editing. Winner!
Mike G thanks man! Yeah we’re gonna try and trim some time off of em. Thanks for the kind words, big. Things coming!!

Tough one, have to say Elk, Venison is a close second!
Weight and width?
Pen ohb Scott is how you say Penobscot that river is the best to raft!
Ahhhhh gotcha. Have to do some raftin next time!
You should come up in November and chase some 250lb deer around.
Man we’d love too if we could find the time!!
nice video, Godbless you for praying after your kill. Keep up the good work, trust in the Lord.
Greg From Maine thank you my man. Means a lot. God bless.
You guys will have to come back and hunt for a monster north woods Maine buck.
Jeremy Gourde whattttttt???? A monster north woods Maine buck?!?! We didn’t see a single deer while we were up there! Please tell me morrreeeeee😍😍😍
They do exist!
Adam Fortin dudeeeeee, tell us moreeeee...

A couple examples, My biggest doe was 153 dressed, and at that same time, somebody was also tagging a 200lb 8 pointer.
It’s pronounced Pen - Ob-scot river.
By the book you're not wearing enough orange. But hey, screw safety!
