- For the third stop on the Hobby Shop Tour, we're at Northwest Hobbies in Albany, OR. They took over a massive Sears warehouse and turned it into an amazing RC center - with two carpet offroad tracks, a drift course, crawler courses, an oval track and more. It even has a powersports shop in the back. Come tour it with me!

I live very near a hobby warehouse and they used to be a retail hobby shop. They se I have retail but it's just a rack of boxed up rigs. They do have a track which is cool.

There is a hobby shop here in Arizona that did something similar but with a old JC Penny home store.
Seems like a great way to repurpose old malls!

Went there last year a few times when I stayed in Albany for work. Awesome place. Oregon has no shortage of shops, and I've made it a point to stop in all that I've run across since I moved the state last summer. It's really good to see the tours of shops I've been in as well as ones I haven't.

I've been there countless times. Love their crawler course. Sad to see the 24th scale crawler course go away, though.

i wish there was a hobby store near me in NE Oregon, the closest to a hobby store in my town doesn't do anything rc and don't plan to lol

My local hobby store is expanding their indoor track (1/18 scale) ….should be fun! I also have a friend of mine that I helped build an outdoor banked track. He’s always improving and expanding the sport. He’s now on the west Michigan circuit! Just wish I had more time to race!
Do it! It is a great excuse to travel to different places and see some sights along the way. I have some friends that are going to stop in at shops on their way from CA to Illonois for Flight Fest!

I've been there a few times. They do have a lot of track and pit space which is cool, but their 1/24 crawler course isn't worth mentioning. I also found that their vehicle selection is minimal at best.
Yeah they mentioned they are working on the 1/24 course.
I do plan on trying out some of their tracks though.

I don’t think people realize how lucky they are to have this kind of place to use at their will. I know the rc hobby in central Ontario is so piss poor right now I just try to make the best of things.
