Good saved Abigail from an abusive husband. The Bible made us to understand that the man was wicked and doesn’t listen to what anyone has to say. The man nabal was a narcissist and a rich man too. God want to judge him. And save Abigail out of his hand. Do you all notice how fast she followed David when he came for marriage. She knew that God has come to save her. A lot of good woman who married a wicked man are crying for deliverance.
@Meagan Hoelzer my beloved sister, I know how you are feeling right now. But I want you to know that God will respond to your prayers. God will surely intervene in the situation because he cares. God will remove every confusion and give you peace. Continue to put your hope in God and don’t give up. He will direct you on the way to go and teach you what to say. He will protect you daily. Don’t stop talking to him. You be very happy at the end.
poor women if they are fr countries where they are not given a choice .., yet those fr potential superpowers to be countries do so in order not to b looked down by others
I first heard about 'Abigail' when I started to volunteer at a local outreach called - Abigail's Arms. They provide free services to victims of domestic violence or sexual abuse. I hadn't heard of Abigail in scripture before that, so I'm glad to come across your study. I'm ready to dive in! God Bless!
I've loved the story of Abigail for years and often think of her no nonsense wisdom and courage. I've always said that with a wife like Abigail, why would David think he needed another, because she had to be far and away above all the others. I truly have prayed to be like her in my attributes. Thank you, Ladies, for sharing this study.
I may appear difficult if and when my boundaries are being crossed. I stand tall on how you treat me, talk to me, and i can get triggered by inconsistent, non communicative, untruthful, just overall sketchy characters. My tolerance is love for people without character and authenticity. A person may do or say something that my intuition catches and ill will proceed cautiously or not at all. My goal was to calm my nervous system so i watch who i allow access to me and be around. I have lots of grace for people but most i will keep at distant no matter the relationship status. ❤with love❤
God lead me here and i didnt know the story of Abigail however it’s exactly what I’m dealing with and Gods so faithful. A reminder Hes in this with me and how I cant let others cause me to behave like them. I really love these bible studies, I know this is a couple years old but more please. God Bless
Thank you ladies!! I have always adored and admired Abigail, but so rarely hear about her, so I was really glad to see an episode for her! Abigail was such a wise woman, during a time when women weren't given much of a voice, she found a way to create influence, just for her to be in the Bible to influence women through the ages says a lot.
Abigail I'm sure went through a lot having him for a husband. Having a husband that is harsh in his speaking is enough in itself, adding bad behaviors along with it must've been difficult. But she had wisdom for her covering and that says she had a relationship with Jehovah. I'm sure she prayed daily and her prayers were answered and she didn't have to sin
She definitely had a solid relationship with Jehovah, and any woman who's married to a 'Nabal' needs to draw close to Jehovah cause He's the only one who can sustain you through it.
Abigail my daughters name got the name from the bible when I was pregnant with her wisdom and strength and so she is the holy spirit led me to the name
I’m so grateful for finding this podcast. I have been reading the Bible with Tara-Lee and the passage about Abigail was last night’s scripture. For some reason her story is burned into my mind and my heart. I feel God is speaking to me. Maybe there’s something just for me. But I am diving deeper to learn more. Her humility strikes me as an example of how I should be. It also is a lesson about salvation and sacrifice. And worship. God will not let the wicked go unpunished. Trust God to take out the evil. Who do you want God to find when Jesus returns? Are you like Abigail? Or Nabal? Are you willing to humble yourself?
Y’all were talking about the positive things that were said about Abigail. I have read this Chapter many times but never noticed this following comment. David was talking to her in its 1st Samuel 25 33. He said to her blessed be thy advice. Wow, that was a very very positive comment for David to say about a woman.
Man this is the kind of study I need in my life!!! You ladies would love the Bible Belle books !! You may already know about them but they're kid books for those who do not know. I've been reading them to my daughter. I had never heard much about Hannah the way to book described her. Same with Abigail and they're so amazing!!! I literally cried one day telling my cousin about Ester being so awesome and my cousin who isn't into God's word just liked at me like .... what is wrong lol. She said are you pregnant you're so emotional! I was like no you just have to understand that Esther literally could've been killed for going to talk to the king lol and my cousin still was like......... not getting it Anyway i have learned so much from these children books. It reminds me of Paul saying that we had to have milk because we couldn't handle the meat. And finally I'm getting solid food and my mind is just absolutely blown lol 😆
This is perfect... are there other bible studies like this? I searched and couldn't find anything like this.. Just a small group of women discussing scripture and making it feel like a warm, sincere gathering in your home... I saw nothing but one person "performing" for a small group of women when I searched for small women's bible study groups, and reading along with you three as you go through the story and really discuss scripture ... this is what I was looking for. Great job ladies!
Hi Carolyn! Yes, we have two other studies in the Women of the Bible series, Esther and Elizabeth. You can find out more on these studies here: www.reviveourhearts.com/study/women-of-the-bible/. Enjoy! :)

Just finished the first lesson and look forward to the others. Is there a study guide that can be purchased or downloaded? I would love to prayerfully search my heart and answer those questions.
I just found this channel and I am wondering how you can get the study guides that are being used with this study of Abigail? I'm working on starting a women's bible study and I believe studying Abigail would be a great start.
I’m just starting this bible study but I’m already confused to why Joy said she had perfect grandkids when only Jesus is perfect? I’ve always been taught no one is perfect but Jesus.
I would love to learn more about Abigail, but in my opinion this video series is too chatty. At 9 minutes in, the teaching has not begun! Im going somewhere else to learn about Abigail. 😢

I am also in this situation for the past 14yrs married. But been in a relationship with him for 22 years. I'm putting it all in the Lord's hands.
This is MY story. I connect deeply with Abigail and Esther. My prayer is “Remember me oh Lord.” Waiting on my David, since I no longer have a husband.

I love this women in the Bible series. I need more examples of Godly women in my life.
I named my daughter Abigail because of one single character in this lovely lady: good looking and wise. Rarely combined in one woman
Lol 😆
My mum named me Abigail too for this reason
