Florida Funk is the most underrated form of FUNK out there, everything I’ve ever heard from Florida since the late 60’s has been nothing more than “FUNKY”. Florida Funk is the HARDEST FUNK EVER.
A lot of music on this album is *heavily* influenced by James Brown and his band like a lot of serious funk from this era. The best funk music comes from the south in general period and this is not a diss to George Clinton up in Michigan or the Fatback Band in New York or anybody coming out of Cali.
Exactly what the game’s been missing.

It' s FUNK! There are o lot of types of funk : Soul Funk, Jazz Funk, Funk-Rnb, Gospel funk, Afro funk, Space Funk, Nu Funk, Funk Rock, Funky dance , Go go music. Te lo dico in italiano perché io scrivo dall'Italia. Chi è stato educato alla cultura rock non si è accorto che il funk non è rock ma funk ! Dal 1965 50 funk band sono stati insieme e hanno suonato insieme per 30 anni almeno come Deep Purple, Ramones, the Who, ACDC etc ma i giornali musicali non l'hanno detto. Che cos'è il garage?
