There is no need to avoid the Chiefs because Russ can beat Mahomes. There are three QBs who scare the bejesus out of Mahomes, and Russ is one of them. The other is retired, and we all know who the third is: Burrow.
Russ and Mahomes have faced off five times in their respective careers and Russ has outplayed Mahomes in four of them. The only reasons his record isn’t 4-1 or 5-0 vs. the Mahomes-led Chiefs are (1) his sorry Denver cast and (2) his coaches. Hackett wasn’t qualified and built a poor offense, and Russ still nearly beat the Chiefs twice in 2022.
They had to purposely knock Russ out of the first game in 2022 (at Arrowhead) to keep Russ from embarrassing them.
I would have no questions if Euss and Mahomes were to face off in a playoff game because Russ handles pressure better than Mahomes. As great as Nahomes is, Russ has another year that other QBs just don’t have: Russ plays his best football under the most extreme pressure, and that was true even in Denver.
It’s almost like he needs it, because he has always played his best football against his toughest opponents. The problem in Seattle was that Pete Carroll didn’t always rise to the occasion. He was a horrible 4th quarter coach.

Let me just say this, two great receivers don’t put you in the Super Bowl. Look at the teams in the last 10 years that won a Super Bowl and how many of them had two great receivers?
Yeah, we all saw that meme too. The thing is, there's been plenty of elite duo WR's to win a super bowl and some even won multiple rings together. The last decade has been dominated by quarterbacks that elevate nobodies into superstars. We don't have Brady or Mahomes so maybe we shouldn't try to copy what worked for them. Don't you want the next big duo like Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne? Stallworth and Swann? Rice and Taylor? Moss and Welker in 07? Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce? I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but you get the point.
Pickens is on a rookie deal so there is absolutely no reason to not pursue the best blocking WR in the league on top of being an absolute stud receiver. With us being towards the top of the league in available cap space for 2025 and 2026, we certainly have the money to play with. I say trade for and resign 26 year old Ayuik and let 35 year old Heyward walk but that's just me. Steelers have never been about conforming to everyone else, why start now? Let's go get him.

Just forget about it. Because we do have GP and cal. What happens if Calvin and GP ball out and Wilson looks good to. Well if we have our hands tied with aiyuk then you have to make a decision. Where as if we just roll with what we have and then they look good we can just pay them.
Cal didn't even prove he could be a WR3 last season. He's also a huge liability in the run-game because he's always the smallest man on the field and his man is never blocked beyond the snap. He will never see WR1 or WR2 time in the NFL. We really need two bonafide starters if we want to put a dent in the AFC North this year.
@@XNDR_23 I get that but every one forgets we're a receiver factory Wilson will pan out everyone's painting him as a run of the mill middle round pick he's not at all he's a projected early second round pick that ended up falling to the third that's at least starting caliber opposite of GP in Pittsburgh plus a QB learning a new system or needs development best friend is a good TE we have 3 so I think we'll be okay this year no team has a starting TE and then two TE that can push him to be better or be they're back up

Don't matter who you get for this team. Coach Cliche will choke in the playoffs and the point will be moot. A good high school coach could out coach him in a pressure situation.
