Seems like a great guy. I prefer honestly in interviews. Some interviews are like biography’s where they only tell the good bits about their life. You can’t have the good without the bad sometimes.
We live the life we lead. He might have not had things other people had, we just play the hand we are given the best way we can. Modern politics tries to even everyone’s hand; it’s impossible to even understand what it is and nullifying to what the human experience is. Sure give everyone opportunities but essentially we all live our own life.
