Nice surprise to see a video. It's in your veins. Wow, wow, wow what a cleanup! Doesn't it make you feel good? Let your path develop naturally. It could meander some. The whole homestead design will develop with time. It looks terrific. Can't wait to see all of the flowers come up in a few months! Cheers 🥂 to another year.
You have been working hard! The garden looks amazing and is all ready for planting in 2025. I am in in a similar situation Sean like u Sean. I have had a major life change in 2022. I lost my husband to cancer in November 2022. I took 18 months to slowly go through everything and sold my home. I have moved from Houston Texas to Portland Oregon in May of this to be with my daughter and son in law. We inherited an overgrown garden. Since then the garden has been cleared and vegetable beds have been set up. I have planted over a hundred bulbs, tulips, hyacinths and alliums. I have planted some garlic too. I would have done more this fall however I was blessed with a precious grandson in September. Life is busy and happy. You inspire me each day Sean. I watch your videos every night, as soon as it’s out. Thank you for all your hard work. Keep singing. I really love your voice. To start life all over again at 64 is not easy. With my family’s support and encouragement I have stepped forward. And you have been one of my motivators too. Positive attitude and taking one task at a time. Thank you 🙏
My Nanny used to talk to her garden all the time, and gave thanks when she gathered kai.. part of her gentle nature..kai is maori for food... she had polio as a child and was paralized down the right side of her body, she had the most beautifullist garden, vegies as well as flowers..miss my Nanny...
The homestead does look bigger and you can see how it’s going to look.I love that it’s happening in stages and not all just done.Love the river and will look lovely with the small fence, well done Sean 😊👏🏻👏🏻
Happy 2025 Sean when it arrives....🎉 Yes keep decorations up (which is just a tree at ours) until 5th January. Though could happily take mine down certainly during the day now however when it's lit up at night love the lights.
Happy New Year Sean! You’ve been busy at the Homestead and it looks great! I’m looking forward to all your plans and activities in 2025. Your channel is one of my favourites and I thank you Sean.
I pull mine down just after New Year’s Eve… I still put the lights on and try and feel festive until reality slaps me in the face and work in the garden starts again for the new year… I’m forever mowing and try to weed (not my favourite chore) but once I start I get in the “zone “ and start to see the beauty of my hard work. Looking for your videos Sean, Homestead is amazing site and looking forward to its progress and all the plants …. Inspiration for me
You've certainly earned your cup of tea Sean. That's a splendid tidy-up in your allotment. I'm really impressed by all that you've done. The timing was so right too. 👍❤
I love it when Xmas is over, take down the decorations, looking out into the garden and the daffodils are growing and there is a primrose out so looking forward to a new year
Sean you have been a busy bee ,the Homestead looks so much better. You are going to be busy in the new Year with your long list😮 I normally take my decorations down before the 12 th night after Christmas.Do what is best for you. Happy New Year.😊🎉
Wonderful to see you! Can't wait to see how the homestead comes along in 2025.I have a look at the garden on Christmas day if I'm not working. There is a stillness that isn't there the rest of the year. I love it ❤
I pulled mine down same day. I ised to leave it up until after New Years...but my tiny Campervan was feeling more and more claustrophobic with the extra clutter. Packed it all up, stripped everything for the laundry and cleaned everything else in a frenzy. So nice to have a fresh clean start to the year❤
Wow, you have certainly made a difference Sean, It looks a lot better ..Lovely to have this video today. I took all my Christmas stuff down yesterday. Once it is over, it goes ,for me . .Look forward to your next catch up.. We have had no sunshine here in my bit of Dorset at all, just misty or cloudy ..
The garden looks good! I walked my garden today and thanks to the unseasonably warm, sunny weather was able to check on my bees! There was a lot of activity there which was good to see. I also got my seed order together and looking forward to getting some seedlings going.
Good morning Sean Nice to see you back, you look quite well apart from the cough. loved that you put a picture of how your Christmas dinner turned out on the Christmas video, hope you and your guests enjoyed it, looked awesome and not burnt like you predicted 😂 The homestead looks nice and neat, it will give you more perspective to where things will end up going and whether your instinct tells you it's the right place. Hope the weather is good for you to do the shed felt, please be careful on the ladder. Happy new year to you and all of the comment community! I look forward to the highlights of the year! Take care Sean 💜
What a lovely surprise, didn’t expect to see you today. Thought you were having a break, but happy you’ve changed your mind. You have been extremely busy too, the Homestead looks amazing. Don’t get doing too much and it affects your health. Slow and steady. Doesn’t it look lovely seeing the river now. Many thanks for this. 🐞
Himalayan Balsam is invasive but at least shallow rooted. Pull it up rather than cutting it down - preferably before it flowers. It produces thousands of tiny seeds which expolde out of the seed capsule and spread everywhere 🙄
For us it's always 12th night that the decorations come down and the tree gets put out to be collected for recycling. We never put anything on the tree these days like plastics etc that can't easily be removed. Our local council collects real trees to mulch and use on the parks etc in the city. The decorations get boxed up and are stored in the attic space of our garage. I love the clean start to the new year after the clutter of Christmas and watching the daylight length gradually getting longer again. Winter is the worst season of the year for me and I long for the first signs of spring. I wish you a very happy 2025 and look forward to watching more of your content.
Yes please to the progress of the homestead video. I’m in the funk of between Christmas and New Year so will spend a day gardening tomorrow. Makes you feel better. 😊
So good to see you again Sean. You sound like you still have that cold, and I hope it goes away soon. Wow, the Rusty Homestead looks so much clearer, you must have worked so hard to clear it since we last saw it. You are not meant to take your Christmas decorations down until 12th night, as it is deemed unlucky to do so before, so that is the 6th January. It seems to me that it makes sense for you to be able to walk around the outside of your greenhouse, to clean the windows etc, so not to put it right up against the fence. Blessings to you, from West Devon, England, and Jilly & Madge. xxx
Happy New Year, Sean. I'm very excited as I'm of to Y Fenni early in the morning for some long overdue hiking in the Black Mountains. Just 2 days, but will struggle to get to sleep tonight! 😊
Great walk yesterday, but very cold and windy with low visibility on the tops. The drive in was a really eye opener. So many trees had to be cleared after the recent storm. Maybe a dozen over 50 metres of road at some points. The tree surgeons must have worked relentlessly to clear trees so the rural communities still had access. Big trees too. Establishes pine of around 18 inches across and the occasional beech tree. Fortunately the houses looked untouched. You were so lucky at the Homestead. The views of the mountainside dont give a realistic picture of how bad it was.
My Christmas decorations come down today, sometimes even on the 27th, my whole family always go away for new years and the thought of coming home and having to do it all then doesn’t bare thinking about x
Wow Sean you have been working so hard. The homestead looks amazing. The fence to the river looks brilliant, I'm so glad the green netting has gone. It looks so much bigger. Well done Sean 👏
It looks much better now....well done...remember all those stinging nettles that got you by the river gate....maybe a zimmer early will knock them down....so they won't get you again...will your summer house windows need any calking? You made a big dent in clean up, way to go, Sean. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! What a pleasant surprise, both to have an unexpected video from you when I had been missing seeing you daily, and also to see the miracle you have worked on the homestead in such a short amount of time. It looks wonderful. I can now get a real vision of how it will appear when it comes to life in the Spring. I'm just wondering.... is it possible to spray paint the corrugated metal fencing at the back of the garden so that it would make a consistent background for your pond area and all the beautiful flowers and veg to come? Since the metal panels have all rusted in different stages of 'color' and decay, I'm thinking to have them all the same color would not be as distracting as a backdrop. They would all blend together and be picture perfect! 🙂
Was good to see a video from your garden areas. It takes time to get your space the way you want it. But it can be done. We are hoping for a nice day with no rain and going to remove a fence that the previous owners put up. They didn't want to deal with the wild blackberries. I don't blame them. But we plan on moving the fence back a little bit so we have more room to grow things. I can't wait to see what 2025 brings you at your homestead. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and your ideas. Can't wait to see when the pond is done. We are planning a putting in a pond. But might be 2 or 3 years or so.
A very timely reminder that my garden needs tidying and more planning. Plus much negotiation with my husband...there have been territorial disputes in the past...
Looking terrific - feels terrific too, hey? 😊 I’m in the process of baking a cake for visitors, packing to move & replacing some garden edging today, but you have provided A1 procrastination material 😂 Happy New Year, Sean - onward & upward🏃♀️➡️
Already taken all my decs down, was fed up of them, not a fan of xmas , we usually go away till new year but couldnt make it this year, will be next year, thankyou Sean for sharing ❤
Everything is looking good. You are so fortunate to have good soil, a river along side and a Mountain View. I think you should build a nice little winter snug overlooking your garden and the peak. Potting shed, greenhouse, summer house and winter snug surrounded with your gardens and a privacy fence. Boootiful!
Hey, nice clean up. One can get a better idea of the plans. When I see a corner or blank wall I think, plant something there. Vines, tall flowers, anything to cover it. I have used hyacinth beans to climb the corners of my sheds. Clematis works well. Plz do a recap of the Rusty homestead. Here's to the new year, may it be a damned sight better than the last! Positive thoughts for us in the US. We will need all the help we can get.🎉
Wow Sean a tidy up made the space look a lot larger. Have you thought about having all your sheds along the divider line of the neighbors so it gives you an open space? Then maybe building a pergola over where the potting shed is now with maybe a sitting area and small fire bowl. It would give you a view of the water, hills, and your beautiful garden. Just a thought with the crazy way the wind comes through. Your idea of the picket fence instead of the wire fence will be fabulous! Looking forward to what you are going to do in 2025! 🎉
It's looking great Sean you sound positive and excited. This tidy up and bit of organising will encourage you to realise all your plans. Good work. Take care.
As far as Christmas decorations go, I always put them up one week before the first advent and take them down by the 5th of January, starting on the 29th of December by slowly putting things away. I'm a person who absolutely loves Christmas and try to keep the decorations up for as long as is reasonable. Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for the homestead.
Christmas Day is the first day of Christmas and there are 12 days of Christmas so, the twelfth day of Christmas is the 6th January and only then do we take our Christmas decorations down. In Ireland we know the 6th January as Little Christmas or Nollaig na nBan which translates to as Women's Christmas. Best wishes for your plans in the garden for the year ahead. Happy New Year.
I've been the only one at my site now for the last week every time i have been down, and no traffic noise either. Beautiful. Those Harris fences make wonderful bean and pea frames. Or climbing flowers or squash against the metal panels
Well Sean it lovely to see the homestead looking sooooo good and cleaned up! Well done! I think the greenhouse in the new area sound good and the view is so beautiful. I’ve been getting over this burn on my left hand. It’s healing. Just hope your Christmas was nice and wish you a very New Year and a great 2025… ❤❤❤🎉 By the way, I usually take mine down January 6th. But since it all got put up late so I may keep it up longer. ❤❤❤🎄🥰🎊🎉
Happy New Year's from North Carolina, USA. I like to get decorations down by the 1st. I had to go back to work by the 2nd before retiring, and just wanted everything put away and cleaned it. Then I start watching for the early bulbs, planted years ago to begin coming up by late January.
Wow, the plot looks great! I keep my holiday decor up at least until Epiphany. Last year I waited until almost Candlemas (Feb. 2) which is the official end of the holiday season.
I wish you a happy and blessed New Year. Love watching how the ground is developing. As for my Christmas decorations; they'll be coming down on January 6th.
Thank you Sean for the walk around. It's starting to look great and so much tidier. Thank you for all your videos during the year. A very Happy New Year to you.
Hi Sean, I was working Christmas Eve and Boxing Day so Christmas has gone quick. I normally take my decorations down on NYD. Your homestead is looking good. Look forward to the new developments with it in 2025. All the best for 2025 and to all the viewers 😊
I"m a woman of Irish descent, American. First generation as they say. Own a home in Ireland in the country/NW. Point being, I love all this kind of weather, the country and so on. Happy New Year Sean. Oh, I live in NJ USA. Crazy place. Wales is on the list.
Hi been veiwing your channel for wee while now Just thought I'd pop in and say Hi you have a lovely view and the sound of the water is nice and calming Good luck with your future projects I look forward to seeing your progress ✌️

Happy New Year, Sean. I'm very excited as I'm of to Y Fenni early in the morning for some long overdue hiking in the Black Mountains. Just 2 days, but will struggle to get to sleep tonight! 😊
Great day forecast for Sunday. Enjoy.

I can't believe the difference Sean, you've worked so hard. It looks so much better and tidier 😊 great 👍
It’s really shaping up. Can’t wait to see it in spring.
WOW 😮, you certainly have been busy. The allotment looks amazing!!!! I'm so glad you were able to clean it up and organize. BRAVO SEAN 😊
Happy new year! Technically Christmas is not over until the Epiphany, January 6. That is the end of the 12 days of Christmas.
Wow Sean you have been working so hard. The homestead looks amazing. The fence to the river looks brilliant, I'm so glad the green netting has gone. It looks so much bigger. Well done Sean 👏
Wow Sean, just wow. Well done.
A huge difference. Good work Sean. 👍
Great progress Sean, and all in just a few months. I wish it was mine!
Looks so much tidier! 👏👏👏
It looks much better now....well done...remember all those stinging nettles that got you by the river gate....maybe a zimmer early will knock them down....so they won't get you again...will your summer house windows need any calking? You made a big dent in clean up, way to go, Sean. Thanks for sharing.
Great work done on the homestead, Sean. Happy New Year! I hope 2025 brings you great weather and a productive yield of fruit and vegetables.
Wow! 🙂
I like how it looks but it belongs to the garden beyond. In time there will be a shed in front of it so it won't be visible.
@@seanjamescameron You are right to leave it as best pleases you, for sure! Just a suggestion 🙂
Very impressive work you’ve done Sean, it’s a pity the other lots haven’t gardeners as well.
The homestead looks much better now. Nice and tidy.
The homestead is looking great 👍🏽 Happy blessed new year Mr Sean and to all the viewers ❤🎉

After little Christmas. To me everyday is Christmas 😊
Yes, I'd love to see a wrap-up of your year in video form.
Great job done on the homestead Sean! 🌹🌻🍀
I would enjoy watching a video going back over the last year on the homestead
Thank you Sean for the walk around. It's starting to look great and so much tidier. Thank you for all your videos during the year. A very Happy New Year to you.
This is very neat, awesome Sean x
Hi Sean, I was working Christmas Eve and Boxing Day so Christmas has gone quick. I normally take my decorations down on NYD. Your homestead is looking good. Look forward to the new developments with it in 2025. All the best for 2025 and to all the viewers 😊
I'd have to paint all that fencing one colour. Green. It would make such a big difference.
Nice start to the cleanup job. If the soil is holding water, can some drainage Tiles be put in to drain out to the River.
That's a heck of a big allotment. Good luck to you.
I"m a woman of Irish descent, American. First generation as they say. Own a home in Ireland in the country/NW. Point being, I love all this kind of weather, the country and so on. Happy New Year Sean. Oh, I live in NJ USA. Crazy place. Wales is on the list.
If it were my homestead I would build a deck behind the shed to the edge of the stream.
Hi been veiwing your channel for wee while now
Just thought I'd pop in and say Hi you have a lovely view and the sound of the water is nice and calming
Good luck with your future projects I look forward to seeing your progress ✌️
Looking good Sean. It's starting to come together. Such beautiful surroundings too.
