i love this song, and the way that you execute it, it leaves you whit a feeling of sadness, happiness, love and peace at same time. congratulations greg, greetings from mexico.
Greg Hawkins Man! You make me wish I could play sax! I just saw your post this morning one of my videos and visited your channel. I grew up as a huge Boots Randolph fan. You are as close to his sound & style as I have ever heard .. the subtle growl .. the phrasing .. intonation.. interpretation. It is all as Boots did it. I don't have that level of talent, but thankful to be able to play at age 71, well enough to entertain folks. Wish you were not across the country. Would love to meet you and get some tips.
Very nice. I got the same mouthpiece, same size, but in Ultem and love it. After various experimentation using it with a Rigotti Gold Jazz 2.5M and Silverstein lig.
Thanks! I absolutely love my Black Widow Gen I and the Gen II pieces have a whole other thing going on, sound-wise and comfort-wise. I'm going to switch to a Gen II metal soon. When I played cane I played Rigotti 2.5M's, as well. I switched to Legere Signatures and I use a 2 (I like softish reeds). I used plain metal, 2-screw lig until my birthday and my daughter bought me a Vandoren Optimum that I really like. I know that you'll enjoy the mouthpiece!
Greg Hawkins Subscribed :) I too play in Church although on recorder. On sax would good one day, although it fits less easily with the other instruments. Like minds and all that.

Boots would be so proud to have this song "Hawkized".
Dan, you are too kind. Boots was the man!
Hi hawk, I sent you a request a while back and boy did you nail it! Big fan Hawk!
Thank you! I remember that request and I just had to do some "homework" before I gave it a shot. Glad that you like it!

@@andrewcranmer9653 Recorder is great! I teach a recorder class at school. I might have to try my recorder at church one Sunday.
Complimenti Maestro....mi piacerebbe conoscere la marca del sax e il programma di registrazione.
Hello Mr. Hawkins, do you have scores for this excellent song?
Thank you and best regards from Germany
Sorry, but I don't. The backing track is Hal Leonard Music Minus One: Boots Randolph. It comes wit sheet music but I don't use it.
