Who wouldn't want to hang out with Brian Phillips and camera crew?! Great video
Thanks Paul! It's always a blast to get to see our supporters, and while we wish it would have been under more positive circumstances, we were glad to meet up with Kenny!
Great video as usual Brian and Wifey aka Camera Crew. You mentioned that you were glad that you got a chance to help at least One person through your videos. Believe it of not, I have gained a world of knowledge through your videos. And I talk to others that say the same. Just to let you know that everybody in the RC world knows who you are. Even Jason Merkel who I personally spoke with 2 weeks ago. Yes, you and Wifey are a big part of the RC community. Peace
Thanks - these kind words really encourage us. It's good to know that we're able to help some people as they jump off the fence and into such a wonderful world of RC fun!
So cool. Great stuff, Kenny. Sorry for your loss. But, one door closes and another opens up, ya know😊
Awesome job, Filming that hand off, and keeping Kenny in frame, Camera Crew!
Can't wait for someone I know to kick the bucket, so I can come fly at the BPRC AeroDrome 😂 👍
Yes, thanks for that super tactful comment, as usual, Al - LOL LOL LOL ;) It's a good thing Kenny has a great sense of humor, and you already know we can laugh at just about anything ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC
I know. I'm the worst. Couldn't help myself. Per usual ; ) 👍
Brilliant great plane great people great video so much fun . Great job Kenny you're flying it! As we say here in Ireland so cool to hear your story . I've been watching and flying for 4 years and am nowhere near your level of ability . Deepest condolonces on your loss guys.
Thanks Nick! Glad you're here with us, and watching from across the pond ;)
Feels like this is a plane you keep coming back to !
Great video
Love you guys
Been watching your videos for 7 years now and I’ve been flying for 11 years now since the summer of 2013. Love for everything you guys do. Hope to meet you guys someday. Keep up the good work.
That is awesome! Thanks for being here so long with us! We're honored to have you flying with us! I bet you're a pretty dang good pilot by now too - remember when it was hard?!??! It's crazy to think about how "easy" it is comparatively now, and yet I still find myself in 85 foot tall trees - LOL LOL LOL ;)
It's so cool, Brian, how you are with people.
We do this all the time. Maybe 5-6 times in the last few months. It's been amazing. Maybe we can fly together some day???
Thanks Rafael!
@BrianPhillipsRC
Yes, some day.
Subscriber specials are AWSOME
So glad you enjoy them! Wish we always had time for a quick video like this, but sometimes we're so slammed for time, we just grab a picture in the filming area (the kitchen), which most guys get a kick out of ;)
Good times guys!
Oh yeah! When you coming over? ;)
Awesome vid.
Nice to meet Kenny.
You guys are the best!
Maybe Randal next? Can you drive the boat into our pond???
Hey Kenny
Hi Kenny! Nice flyer.
Brian you should concider a Esky Albitross 2.6 glider and give it a try. I got one, but not ready to fly it till i find a bigger site to fly. Got it off banggood.
We already asked them to send one, and they said yes, but that was a couple YEARS ago....not sure what happened. Banggood has been kinda falling off the radar for us, as our contact has been flaky and pretty useless. It's too bad, as we know a lot of people use the site, but we also hear a lot of bad stuff too...and this concerns us. We want our audience to have a good experience, so we have been pretty leery on working with Banggood lately.
Hey guys! If the house next to you goes on the market, pleeeeeze give us a call! And- is Kenny 6’6” or so? Aren’t you six three?
LOL - thanks, and we'll share if it's for sale. They wanted a "quiet place" to retired - OOOOOPS ;)
I would love to meet you guys
Maybe some day! We've met a lot of others ;)
Love your videos great work
Thanks Mr Garrison! I didn't know I had such a huge celebrity watching! LOL
@@BrianPhillipsRC 😂😂😂😂😂😂 no problem
What's not to like about "free" planes.
Someday I would like to see "Brian's Best" and the runner-up plane in the Beginner Category, Early Intermediate (second plane) Category, and What-the-Heck Category. A review of a beginner/learner 3D plane and its' runner-up would be awesome as well.
Enough with the "How Great this Free Plane is" stuff. Give us your best shot with your 10 years of experience.
All the best.
I think I may understand what you're saying, but I need to stop you right here - there is NOTHING FREE in this experience for us! Even if the planes were "free" on paper, which they're not always, and certainly haven't been from the start, we spend about 10-30 hours of production for an average plane, so at that rate, my day job would have paid me well over $1,000, then considering how much my wife would charge for her even longer time investment...it's gonna get REAL expensive, so yeah, we pretty much resent that you think we're getting anything for free. What we do is produce content for the manufacturers, distributors, and mom&pop shops for FREE. They let us use the plane, sure...NOW, but it wasn't always that way! Then if the item happens to be really good, you like it, happen to buy one through our link, then we'll be lucky enough to earn a couple dollars, yeah, a couple dollars...not 50% or some pie-in-the-sky-non-sense... This may help to reimburse us for our time. If the item sucks, we're pretty much doing everyone a favor to show that in a video to help avoid wasting money, buying one for yourself. Keep in mind, because we've had experience with so many planes, we have a good basis for comparison, something that can't work with limited knowledge of the market offerings...and the ability to showcase a plane that's cheap, in light of the price point, while showcasing an expensive plane, in light of it's high price...but we don't really care what you buy...we want you to buy what will meet your needs, and the item that will meet you where you're at in your RC progression. At the end of the day, having hundreds of these planes, helis, cars, trucks, boats get very expensive logistically. We're about to build a 60'X100'X20' building to store them in, but in the mean time we've already bough two 40' X 9.5' shipping containers, and have half our house inundated with aircraft, and other equipment. So I keep coming back to this "free" concept you speak of...there ain't anything FREE in our situation. You ought a know this by now if you watch our channel! Even though you might just be saying these things in jest, I want you to know - it really pisses me off. We bust our butts EVERY DAY trying to do this, and while it can be awesome, rewarding, and super fun at times, it also can be terrible behind the scenes...and we don't talk about what we've spent to make all this work - it's more than we want to admit.
Furthermore, it's not as easy as it looks, and it for sure isn't free. We have spent a life savings to make this all happen, and we're borrowing another one to two more to keep at it in the next year or so...still not free. We're working 120 hour weeks each - not free. Every vacation from my day job, weekend, holiday, tied up with UA-cam - not free...and just because I'm passionate about this pursuit, it's a fools errand to think anything about this is free, is what I'm trying to articulate. We just want you to understand, hard work, almost a decade here on UA-cam, literally THOUSANDS of videos produced (some good, and some crap - admittedly)...this is not a "get rich scheme" , and it's certainly not FREE.
If I misunderstood your comment, or position on the matter, please do clarify. I want to be fair to people here on our channel, but we expect you guys to treat us fairly too. We're not going to be punching bags for people having a bad day.
@@BrianPhillipsRC Whoa! You missed my point and I am glad you did. Your ongoing passion for what you do was underscored in your response and is very much appreciated by us viewers, but the “behind the scenes” information you shared was an eye-opener! It would make an interesting video(s) to reveal the effort and sacrifice it takes to make this channel one of the most successful RC channels. Your need for a storage facility was an eye-opener.
My point was this. With your many years of experience and wisdom, you could add even more value to your channel by contrasting the planes you review. What is the best flying, best value, most challenging (junk?), etc. Which planes are tradeoffs of quality for price? What are some alternatives to the most expensive, and so on? I am sure your credibility in making such videos on these topics would bring additional eyeballs.
With your great insight and an outstanding videographer, the channel can go beyond the UA-cam rubric of ‘free’ product for favorable reviews that many other channels follow. And my only point was to encourage you to reach for even a higher plateau.
All the best to you and keep up the good work.
Great video gentlemen and camera crew. Sub specials are great.
AirHammer out!!
We agree! It's fun in the moment, then if we get a chance to share our very real experience with folks, it's a cool reminder that it's not just a bunch of bots watching (at least on BrianPhillipsRC - can't speak for some of our "competitors" - LOL LOL LOL)
Hey, I watch the entire/whole video too! .... and this one is ONLY 16 min :-(
Thank you, and glad you do ;)
Brian the birds have you ever had a bird attack your plane even touch it?
I know this question was not for me but i had a bird head towards it then i did some maneuvers and it got scared and flew away lol
@@mr.garrison6947I’ve had birds chase my plane then I turn it around and chase them it’s almost like a game to them. Has happened a handful of times flying on my street
@@graysonleonard6150 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😮 had a bird chase my HobbyZone T-28s (umx). Decided to mess with him. Eased off the throttle to draw him in close. Got about 3ft from my tail, hit the gas, pulled back on the ele for a half cuban. I know he got excited getting close, cause he forgot he couldn't fly upside down. Bent him all out of shape. 🤣
Disclaimer: no animals were harmed.
yeah, but never had one succeed. Sometimes they'll try to swarm my planes, mostly barn swallows...but I've heard of hawks and eagles ripping into planes!!!
Dang didn't know you're in Iowa. I'm just across the border in MN. Do you still fly in the winter? Just started flying this summer.
:-) Fine advise - same always mentioned from petrincic brothers rc
