Unusual the majority of Radiohead's fanbase I thought had always been male I mean you go to any Radiohead gig now and the majority of of the people there will be middle aged men who had listened to them back in the bends and OK Computer eras! still I think there has always been a very large female audience as well.
There were tons of women when I saw them this year (and I'm a 29 year old woman myself). I was in line all day for one of the shows, and honestly, it was mostly other women. It was fantastic, I felt like I was finally among my people, haha.
Thom likes this interviewer. You can immediately tell he likes her because she's not fake and obviously has listened and analyzed their music. Compare the 1995 and 1997 MuchMusic interviews. This is especially true because he willingly comes back to her in following interviews. Very interesting to see.
Yeah they have a good vibe going, the interview he did with her for Kid A at his house is amazing. She seems rly smart and her words don't seem coerced, seem very authentic and airey.
I think she has a later interview with him where thom and her made no eye contact with each other, it's hilarious. I think thom likes being interviewed by her unlike most people who interview him.
A great interview, I'm really shocked ( in a good way ) by the way they are talking about computers because what they are saying is happening today 23 years later x). Radiohead was truly ahead of their time.
You can tell how thom is happy go lucky, which would change after they became the biggest thing of the late 90s during the release and tour. This is a snapshot of Thom Yorke before he truly became the jaded person he would be for the next 20 years.
In 1997, 6 hours a day in front of a computer screen was incomprehensible excess...
lmao 5:39 gaggle of girls cheering, Thom points out, "There's not ONE male!"

Maybe the young female audience was just, generally larger before OK Computer and Kid A?
Quite possibly certainly in america I think. By the way loving your username Pixies are the best!!!

@@seaport7421this sounds so cool! I'm a 28 female myself and we are so underrepresented as radiohead fans

HQBacon Yeah, I noticed that. She also hosted the Kid A documentary too. But the chemistry they have makes the interviews SO much more interesting.

what's the name of the interviewer? is she an actress or something?
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sook-Yin_Lee
She also remembered the haunted house thing from years prior, so its obvious there’s some thought behind her questions
It's amazing they have no idea at this stage they've made a classic album. Probably the best ever.
Damn phil let the other guys speak for once
😂😂😂
😭😭😭😭
10/10
the interviewer is really cool
she''s got a good vibe going with Thom. Her interview with him for Kid A interview is one of the best
Sook Yin Lee. I’m Canadian and she was definitely one of the coolest on Much Music. George was cool too but Sook Yin really embraced the weirdness.
Sook Yin Lee was the best host on the channel by a mile. Weird and wonderful.

"It's nothing BUT choruses". He ain't kidding tho!
The most down to earth band ever

wow they're actually happy here....too bad the next year would make them soooooo unhappy, especially Thom

Wow they all look so good here, especially Colin

i love this interviewer soo much
Little did they know what a masterpiece that OK Computer is. Best Album of the decade!!!
My favourite interview of theirs!
This interviewer is a genius
4:15 seconds in " it's ( the radiohead sound/formula ) up for other people to rip off now" ... *points finger at Muse and Coldplay*
Really cool to see Radiohead and fans not fully grasping the impact of Ok Computer and what will eventually follow.
5:38 'theres not one male' hahahahahahahhahaa
excellent interviewer
Colin~ 10:49
I think that’s him at 12:21
Yeah, I noticed that little "shushing" motion. Adorable.
We all have dreams, don't we? And lingering fears of being stenched hatred..
Is Colin okay 5:20 ?!
