I spent 22 years in the US military and used to buy a lot of prepackaged food. I ended up a diabetic with complcations that resulted in two major spine surgeries. It's not the food; but the chemicals and preservatives the use to keep the food. Either too much sugar or too much sodium. Be careful.

Hi Shona, please stay away from the Chinese supermarket, watch the expiration date, they don't remove expired items from their shelf. Also watch out for the MSG that they put in to most foods not too healthy Most people in Canada get sick from it., do your research when buying Chinese food. I live in Canada and as a Jamaica I am cautious about buying Chinese food.

Cow skin is dish in Jamaica Shorn, but we cook it with beans. So it is cow skin and bean, mostly curried. It is most often served with white/plain rice, but it goes with any carb. be it boiled dumplings, rice and peas, breadfruit, green banana etc.

Good vlog as usual totally enjoyed. I really enjoyed the shopping trip we seem to eat the same kind of foods. I was really impressed by the cow skin which was burnt and scraped like in Jamaica 🇯🇲. Haven’t had it for years!
