Can you please tell me if the supplies are proprietary to Rise Gardens or can we use our own supplies? For example, I know with some of the other companies that sell similar growing gardens you have to subscribe because the net cups and other supplies are proprietary. Thanks in advance. Hi. Thank you! I had the same question prior to purchasing. There are alternative seed pods that fit in the Rise Garden net cups like Root Riot or Rapid Rooters. Rise Garden has recently lowered the price to their seedless pods. Other nutrient brands can be used, but I have not tested dosing ratios with their app. I use a mix of Rise Garden supplies and other brands.

The plastic tub and tray do look very thin and flimsy. How have they lasted?
It lasted for awhile and continues to perform. The sticker for the water level on the tub could get discolored.
