That specific copy of Elly Jean Williamson's reel-to-reel tape sold at auction for $450,000. There was only 13 known copies of it, and only three remain.... Well, now, two.

I do remember the days when the Most "Cool People" had reel to real tape decks. And the time it took to Dubb a tape was extensive. Music played
in only the order it was recorded and songs were named by the counter. I think Im going to cry seeing these tapes destroyed!! (:

I haven't seen that reel to reel for years. In the 1970's/80's my uncle used to run a TV and hi fi shop, that was still when you could take your TV in to be fixed.... good luck with that now!Even then reel to reel was pretty much redundant but he did have a TEAC one which I think was a Japanese company?Mind most hi fi companies were Japanese then .

You should make some a ballistic plate made from a sheet of cardboard and wrapped in that tape , but getting 8+ inches of tape wrapped around a cardboard plate would take a Lot of tape and probably be pretty heavy . Thanks Guys ., catch You next time . Shoot Straight Stay Safe & Stay Well .

When I was a kid, my job was to run the machine that rewound the film from one reel to another. I mean seriously big responsibility for a 7 year old in first grade. One day the class clown decided that he was going to try and mess up the machine. You would stick a finger under the film and let a few wraps fo around your finger, then pull your finger out and it either pulled the film out from the center, or it created a pocket and the film wouldn't rewind tight. Well I saw him about to do it so I cranked the machine up to 120 so it would work faster, but he put his finger up to the film and that film wound up slicing right through his finger to the bone until the film broke. He was screaming and bleeding. The teacher was yelling at me. The machine ran to the end so the film is slapping against the projector, except it's covered in blood. The teacher is telling one of thhe kids to hit the intercom button, but we had some brain dead idiots in our classroom. Finally my friend hit the button and they got the principal down. They called his mom. I had tomgive an interview. I was crying and thought I was going to jail. They had a deputy that would stop by because his wife was a teacher there and I didn't know that, so I thought he was there for me and I freaked out even more. My grandfather was trying to get me to calm down. I'm screaming and crying. The other kid, Jason, was screaming. Then his mom got there and she started yelling at me. That got my grandfather upset and then my grandmother. My grandmother drank Jack straight, smoked unfiltered Camels and was tough as leather. She told that mom to shut her mouth and not yell at me or she would smash her jaw shut with a hammer and said her son was a brat. So she spit at my grandma, who then smacked her in the face right back. In the end the cop separated them. She took her son to get 4 stitches. I didn't get anything. My grandmother was banned from school during normal hours. Jason alsomgot suspended for 2 days. Then 1 week later the day after his stitches came out, he tried leg locking someone on the monkeybars to pull them off. Well that person broke free and kicked Jason in the face. He fell and broke his arm plus he busted his nose. Then 3 weeks after that, he tried stealing a pencil and the girl swung her backpack up as he was grabbing the pencil and when she hiked it up, it stabbed him in the hand.
