loool "oooo, you don't understand the culture you fucking nerd, unlike me, cult hero" Bro some people just don't dig it. It doesn't really bother me, but I can understand why people don't wanna hear a guy talking nonsense for the entire set. Nobody there went there to hear chunky did they.
When I started listening to dance music, seeing all the hate on Chunky in this video puzzled meh. Well over a year on, it still puzzles meeeh you probably all listen to hannah wants or some shit lol
Serato. The record just has a timecode on it that's read by the computer. This allows a digital music file to be assigned to each deck and mixed as though it was on a vinyl record.
I agree mate, I fully respect DJ's who still wanna use just vinyl, but I think it's counter-productive to just hate other ways. I don't really agree with use auto-beat match (as you can use on the new Pioneer CDJ's & Traktor I think) but there are several great advantages of using other software I.E. creating loops, using cue points etc. Whilst they shouldn't be used as the basis of your sets, you should be able to rely on your pure skill as a DJ,it just adds a bit of fun for the person playing.

I've noticed that it's mainly old DJs that have a hair up their ass about Serato & Traktor, they're just afraid of new technology. I've had turntables since 1995 & I'll never get rid of them... but I'm not trying to DJ with them anymore. I stopped DJing in the early 2000's but now that I got back to it in 2011 I want to use the new dope technology! Right now I'm borrowing my friends Serato SL1 hooked up to my tables @ home but I want the Numark NS7 or Novation Twitch or Traktor Kontrol S2!
Jackmaster comes with many, many exclusives. He sometimes specifically asks the MC to chat over some of them so nobody other than him and his mates can have the full “clean” versions to play. It’s the same school of thought that keeps tracks anonymous until the label wants to release the info, it raises anticipation. Sorry if he’s not looking after youtube commenters
The new pioneers don't have beat-matching although to have quantize which makes looping much easier. You're right though Traktor has sync built in. Its going to be a never ending debate whether thats 'cheating' or not.. I think I'll just stay out and stick with the CDJ 800's which no laptop lol
Easy tiger! I mix only vinyl myself, but I don't see the point/reason why you would hate on someone mixing with Serato? It doesn't make it any easier. And I know that both these guys love mixing only vinyl, but to be fair lugging around crates on crates of them on a European/Worldwide tour is difficult, expensive and you will probably end up loosing/damaging a lot of them.
I completely get what you mean and I don't disagree but it can be good in a weird way, as only people who really like their music actually listen. Instead of everyone jumping on the bandwagon with disclosure, skream etc. Jackmasters sets are full of people who really love the music, unlike some disclosure fans who go for 'white noise' and 'latch' and know nothing else...if you get me?
All those complaining about Chunky need to get out of here and go back to listening to their top 40 commercial "EDM". MCs are a part of bass culture and Chunky is one of THE best

If you're moaning about the MC you're basically outing yourself as a youtube raver on the outside looking in. Chunky is a don
or that you go to raves and just don't dig the MC scene on house music, could be that?
THANK YOU, SPEAK OUT MY BROTHA
Joe Pray two dickheads full of shite
Patrick Walker
'MC Scene' lmao fuckin cringe
The thing is Chunkys actually a sick mc, he hardly talks over the tunes compared to others, and he can catch the beat like a g when he wants to spit
Chunky is a great MC. the voice of Swamp 81 really. if you don't like the MC, you really don't understand the culture.
loool "oooo, you don't understand the culture you fucking nerd, unlike me, cult hero" Bro some people just don't dig it. It doesn't really bother me, but I can understand why people don't wanna hear a guy talking nonsense for the entire set. Nobody there went there to hear chunky did they.
Alex Lala spot on, MC’s are like marmite. Mike Ethier was not born when the culture was conceived
When I started listening to dance music, seeing all the hate on Chunky in this video puzzled meh. Well over a year on, it still puzzles meeeh you probably all listen to hannah wants or some shit lol
haha cheers mate! dpm sound there is hope
If your gonna listen to a Swamp 81 mix, then be prepared to listen to the fucking MC, Chunky is a boi
Really wish i was there. Everyone in these boiler rooms are incredibly blessed to be there. Especially this one
missing the good old days
Love that from you!
Serato. The record just has a timecode on it that's read by the computer. This allows a digital music file to be assigned to each deck and mixed as though it was on a vinyl record.

Yass I can see either of these guys sets at least every two weeks. GLASGOW!
34:05 This mix is impressive. Rides the pitch in, pops the bass, cheeky effect on the vocal straight into the breakdown.

loefah channeling the spirit of a camp Butlin's stage magician here in his hand movements
Also opening track is Mushy - Tech 101
Thank you!! Guessing this is gonna see a release on school or swamp?
Glasgow Representing!!!
Why the speaker never stop to talk nonsense?
44:15 Is my favourite moment! Skream hugging Loe! Warmed my heart
I'm American and I'll never understand the concept of why they have the MC's there, but I like the idea and I've always enjoyed it.
Wow, you need a really big hug.
Nice !! Jackmasters bit in the middle was the best for me
I can’t wait for the release in 2 years of the dubs

Loefah, Jackmaster and Skream on Tuesday, unbelievably excited!!!
Jack is just epic
1. Chunky's a DON, you're tripping.
2. Stop tripping.
3. Shut-up and enjoy the FREE artistry you're being allowed to watch.
loefah is so on point in this mix!
Definitely 7/10
All the Love for Chunky!! Btw, what is that weird fade out around 13:00???
poor mixing
Just what happens when you try to mix time and space
"if you wanna put your hands up 4 the dj, then ya can"
"if you wanna put ur lighters up, then do so"
love how he gives you the choice!
In Africa unfortunately people sometimes don’t have the luxury of choosing
Jackmaster comes with many, many exclusives. He sometimes specifically asks the MC to chat over some of them so nobody other than him and his mates can have the full “clean” versions to play.

Lmfao, blasting this and my neighbor called the cops.
i hope they arrested him ;)
Thanks mate, big tune!
that bit at the end from jack was special
Need to know that first song absolute banger
I don't understand why there aren't 200 people here. Pretty private, but it would wicked to play for a more gnar crowd?

what you talking about man? Chunky is central to everything, such a sick guy

14 :11 is DJ T. & Eli Escobar - Work It (DJ T. Edit)
not sure man, but ive been looking feverishly for it! if I find an ID ill let you know! such a jam!
I don't get the hate for the MCs, they really add something to the sets. More energy. Vibes!
nice mix lads
I like how everyone's whining about the mc, even though he's probably the best one in the scene right now.
90,000 views to skream + disclosures 1 million.. Says a lot
never compare such things
I completely get what you mean and I don't disagree but it can be good in a weird way, as only people who really like their music actually listen.
