Pal is possibly dead, since Arthur got him when he was about 8, pal was around 8 weeks. I guess now Arthur in this parody he is around 20-30 and sadly dogs only have a lifespan of around 12 to 14 depanding on the breed. Bigger dogs have a shorter lifespan then smaller dogs, it also depands on the ailments that is part of the breeds history eg: dachshunds are prone to back problems and diabetes, squashed muzzled dogs have breathing and birthing problems etc. Not a expert on dogs but that is all i know. Pal is i guess a labrador.
Maybe its a second or third dog named Pal since the first one would've already died years ago.

She’s even from the books where she first appeared in Arthur’s New Baby and became a regular character. I highly doubt the staff of AOK would introduce an original character to the Read Family that wasn’t in the books or show.

Update 2022: The series finale of Arthur revealed a canon version of Arthur's adult years.
Though this series can always be seen as an alternate timeline or a "further in the future".
Arthur was right to leave. He deserves better than this. DW's as bad as ever, and the parents still think they can't fuck up. Kate's the only one in that family besides Arthur who doesn't really suck.

DW and Kate both live pretty successful lives (particularly DW), so it's not like his parents didn't raise him to be successful. if I recall correctly (I haven't watched a new or otherwise current episode of Arthur in over 3 years), the youngest characters can still talk to animals, and the animals can talk to each other.

The way that Dw treats Arthur is extremely cruel, However i do find this portrayal of her behaviour interesting bc it leads back to why she acts like this in the first place. the main reason for DW acting like this is likely due to the fact that she never got as much attention as Arthur did from her parents and one of the ways she could get attention of any kind was by being rude and throwing temper tantrums. It also seems that she likes to take out her anger on him as an outlet as well. on the upside the lack of attention has caused Dw become very independent and self made although her success has made her very prideful and just as abusive.
