Sooo... This is a little late but there will be a sequel... They announced that for the tenth anniversary of the light novel they will be releasing a sequil of Lawrence, Holo, and their child. The books, not the anime...
the spice and wolf anime were done on individual contracts, season 1 was its own deal, so was season 2 if they released the last light novel this is both good and bad news bad news because the anime is used to promote the novels and light novels, with both the novels and light novels finished, it removes some incentive to make the anime, nothing new to promote on the other hand all the light novels are done, which the anime tries to follow and uses as its source, we can only hope they will finish it at some point, the poor views and low interest are nto helpful though, even if it is well done (shame that a show that is terrible at story telling like sao gets more views for its over glorified fight scenes, which i am guilty of liking as well, but over a show that actually has a great story, knows what it wants to be and does it almost flawlessly)
The singer/writer Alexander Rybak is Belarusian-Norwegian and the song was inspired by a creature from Scandinavian folklore :) but yeah my first thought was Irish folklore when I heard it too
