I remember I was 11 and my grandad called me after that 7-1 start in 1996 and we had such a happy conversation about the Skins having the best record in the NFL. It was a bright spot of that year because my dad was dying of cancer. In the end, it was crushing that they somehow didn't make the playoffs. I'm beyond thrilled to know that no matter how long of a run they make in the playoffs this year, we have an organization set up for long-term success for the first time since Joe Gibbs 1.0. This is so much different from those blips of short-term success we've had since '91. This team is legit and this organization isn't resting on its laurels like so many of our teams in the past 33 years.
All I gotta say is: Thank god Bram isn't the GM of this team. Saying we "need" to make a move is EXACTLY the wrong attitude. That's the kind of attitude that brings Deion Sanders and Bruce Smith in after they're washed. It's the attitude that results in $100m to Albert Haynesworth. It's the attitude that causes one to chase Carson Wentz. If a good deal presents itself, OF COURSE, I'm in favor of a deal. And I think Peters will be as well. That means getting a player who can help us, who is a good fit, who can be resigned going forward and isn't just a short term rental and acquiring them at a reasonable cost. But saying we "need" to make a move is Dan Snyder thinking. Bram sat next to Vinny and Larry Michael for years, and I guess more rubbed off on him than he realized. Feeling like you NEED to make a move is how you end up overpaying for guys. it's how you lunge for someone who maybe isn't the perfect right fit, because you're feeling pressure, and you buy a lottery ticket rather than building and investing. Peters won't do that. I trust him. He's not going to jeopardize the long term build by being inefficient with critical resources. He'll turn over every rock, and examine every opportunity, and if none meet his standards, he'll shrug his shoulders and walk away.
Got news for you. They weren't this good in 96. The first half of the season was nail biting. Felt like they were getting lucky. Turned out they were. This year feels a lot more like a contender
Hey Bram how do you feel about having mercy over a division rival? At the end of the game what are your thoughts on not going for a touchdown and instead victory formation?
@CoachSteveMoney you're right I am an old school Washington Redskin fan that remembers what a rival game with the Giants used to mean. I am a Commanders fan now and I support this coaching staff.
@@jacobbarnard9504 absolutely, they have been correct in the draft, correct about not overpaying for a big name offensive lineman despite everyone saying the oline would suck and in clock management. There is no reason to 2nd guess them, but fans always think they know how to run the team better.
If they can make teams burn up all the clock and still out score them I think they will be ok. The giants ran the clock out on themselves. They got the rushing yards but it really cost them the game.
No we still laughing at you. You still can’t name anyone they can get that’s available that will make a difference. Have you seen Lattimore play? I’m sure you haven’t. He’s not what he used to be and he stay injured. There are no DT’s out there better than what they have. You just talking with no solutions. So are you cutting your FA signings for a rental DE? You still have your 7th round pick coming off IR in about a week.
The last time they were this good I had hair
Haha
Same here!🤣🤣🤣
Last time they were this good, I was single and had no kids. Now I am a grandpa.😊
This !

That is heart breaking 😢
lol. I was 20 in 1996. I got to see the 87 and 91 teams. I was spoiled.

Was 26 and just moved to Charlotte..wow! But can this team still compete with a D who can't stop the run?
I would have just turned three in September of 96

The game was over. No need to try to run a scoring play and risk an injury. They are professionals, you're thinking like a fan.

What would you say to a fumble ran back by NY for a touchdown? No reason to take a chance.

Is there a more likeable athlete in the world right now than JD5?
Bram we can make that call because we got a qb we trust also look at the giants game plan they don’t trust there qb

Such a gay opening. Otherwise good show.
It was game gay. This is acceptable.
Crazy work comment. I appreciate Brams work and coverage. I remember him first from his days with Larry Michael. HTTC
