It's sad the writers did not let steph be happy with another man, like Bill Spencer, Jack or Massimo. They were nut perfect and had they flaws. But they were all far better man and humans than Eric.
Rigde is acting like he is a big dangerous man. Massimo was not afraid of him or Eric. Nobody was or is afraid of Eric and rigde.
