Good morning, Whitney! What a lovely new dress you have made in that beautiful navy & white print! I never underestimate Kennis when it comes to design and she hit the mark with this one! I’m a full-bust girl, too, and I love sending the darts down to the waist seam - so flattering! I can see why you like this one so much!
Totally agree on pockets in a knit dress. But, I do love a good pocket in my wovens. I put pockets in so many of my wovens. And, if it is a Spring/Summer dress, shorts(always), slacks, or skirt I have pockets! Although I have been watching a Victorian sewing channel and I am thinking of making a “pocket” add-on. Basically the first ‘Fanny pack’ was invented in the Victorian age…or earlier…
This dress is darling and you are adorable in it! This style of neckline is very flattering. I popped over and bought it just now. I’m building a business casual wardrobe and this will be perfect.
Really nice dress. Right now I'm into a good v neckline or easy scoop ~~ something to allow easy access to my port during my labs. This dress fits the bill although living in Florida i never make long sleeved dresses.
😂 I serve in the 5/6th grade service and my co-leader is a 17 year old with amazing style. She's always interested in what I've made and it makes me feel cool 😂.
This is a lovely pattern…that’s considered a shawl collar, right? I had decided not to buy any new patterns this year but now….I have a lot of thinking to do. Thanks, I think. And I’ll have to go fabric shopping…hmm… it is a lovely dress!
Cute dress on you! Thanks for the link to fabric. I have been looking at all of their gorgeous fabric. How do you choose fabric online for your color palette?
Thank you! Some of my colors are easy to find online just by the description, like mustard, pretty much any orange, rust, etc. The blues and purples (and sometimes reds) can be a little more difficult.
Cute dress. It's very similar to Love Notions, Olympia dress. which is a really lovely dress as well.
Just what I was thinking.
Whitney, how do you think this dress compares to the Olympia dress?
They are similar. The necklines are finished differently and the Sovana has darts for the larger bust sizes. The Olympia also has a much fuller skirt!
That dress looks great on you! I love a high back neck. It’s kinda princess. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
That dress looks fabulous on you.
Thank you so much!

She always nails the pattern drafting. This one is no exception. I've really enjoyed wearing this one!
gorgeous dress 😀
Thank you so much!
Neckline, style and color so flattering on you. You might try 3/4 sleeve or bracelet length.
Thank you so much!
I love it on you and will be buying it. Thanks
Thank you so much!
Cute dress!
Thank you!
it's so flattering on you.
Thank you!
So cute!! I love dresses, especially ones that can be casual and then dressed up. Thanks!
Me too!
Love the dress. You look great.
Thanks for the ideas on how to style it. That sold it for me .
I'm so glad you enjoyed this one!

I am the same way! I love pockets in my wovens, but not my knits!
It is a nice classic dress. Name is Polish - my maiden name is Sova
It really is a nice classic pattern. I love that she names her patterns after places. Did I butcher the name?!!
So cute! i wonder, if you shorten it a bit and add the skort type shorts under it and shorten the sleeves would you be able to wear it golfing?
This would be an adorable golf dress!!! Good thinking!
Love how classic this dress is ! I have so many patterns but this one is so tempting!
It definitely fits my classic aesthetic!
The cut of the vee neck is beautiful!
I think so too!
Beautiful! Love finding easy dresses to wear that will still keep me warm
Me too!
Perfect timing for this review. Thank you.
Oh good!

This will be a fabulous dress for a business casual wardrobe!

Oh good! Shortening the sleeves, or even going sleeveless would be an option!
I love the dress and it looks great on you. It does not look to be difficult to sew.
Thank you! It was a pretty quick sew!
You must be the envy of the church ladies with a new outfit every week.

I really like the fabric you used. And this dress looks good on you!
Thank you!
This dress is so flattering on you! Make more!
Thank you! I REALLY love this one. I think I might need a solid one next!
I love this dress and am going to buy the pattern. Yours is beautiful, as is your business partner.
Thank you! I'll pass along the compliment to Gidget 😉.
Do you think crushed velvet is suitable for this pattern? Yours is so cute🥰🥰Happy Holidays, Whitney.
This would be divine in a stretch crushed velvet!
Love the dress and it looks great on you! Can I use a woven or must it be done in a knit? Thanks Whitney
This dress has negative ease so you would need to use a knit for this one!

Sorry to be such an enabler 😂. It is a lovely pattern, however!

I have made this dress in Ponte Roma and French terry. I am wondering have you attached the Front collar Facing?
I have attached the front collar facing and I topstitched it down around the entire neckline.
@@TomKatStitchery Thank you! I am going to add those stitches.
Can you remind me again where you get your patterns printed?
I like pdfplotting.com .
