Jack Russell Terrier Racing

- The British have a real love of animals. Writer George Eliot best summed this up by saying “ Animals are such agreeable friends, they ask no questions, and they pass no criticism”.
That may be so with horses and the popular domestic cat.
But with man’s best friend criticism can sometimes be passed, especially when the little darlings start to bark.
One such breed is the loveable but noisy Jack Russell terrier. Left on their own, they can get into all sorts of trouble. They'll chew everything. They bark, and they can wear out the patience of even the most adoring owner if not trained properly.
The dogs are compact, powerful, tenacious, and fearless, they were used many years ago as hunting dogs, as their strength can pull larger animals such as deer to the ground.
Now in Britain, these pocket-sized powerhouses are learning new skills.
This was filmed around 1998. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
The jack Russel is the smartest dog of them all.
The border collie is
No, Monty my Jack Russell is the smartest of them all
GSD❤
if an other breed of dog has tug of war war with the JRT the JRTwhold win
Maybe the most fun dog out there.
The key phrase on the description.."...if not trained properly" we have a Jack called Sandy (who looks very like the one who won lol)and she doesnt Yap,rarely Barks and has no destructive behavior. Hence she was trained properly. She is such a happy dog and her physique and coat are perfect. Jack Russells are a breed apart..smartest dogs in the world.
Jack Russells are great dogs...
That little fellow at the end wasn't going to give back the lure.
Had them most of my life
Love my wee boy Gizmo, he's 10yrs now ,still full of beans 😍😍
Love it, not too serious and the dogs are having a ball.
The little border terrier is the real bad ass here. Lol
I have a JRT puppy who is 6 months old. He is a bundle of energy and is very sociable. I did not know terrier racing was a thing but this looks like absolutely great fun for the dogs and their owners. There appears to be terrier racing in Wharfedale where I live so my little chap is going to be competing in the summer, I think he'd absolutely love this.
Fantastic video, What great fun their having..lol love it!
That was great!
Black and white Rat Terrier the winner 😊
Super awesome!!!
I entered my Parsons JRT in a few races at a JRT fun day. He had long legs and was so fast he would be leading but would turn around to wait for the other dogs. We vhad to muzzle our JRT's because the lil buggers would fight each other....RIP Captain
Link would love this race.
at least they don't go through the grey hounds have to go through
wolfy wlf I know that would be hard
Fortunately, this is fun not business. I used to go to greyhound racing in Walthamstow and it was good fun but then I found out about how much cruelty is involved in greyhound racing and I haven't been back since.
Terrier racing looks absolutely great. I'm going to give it a go with my JRT this summer. I'm expecting him to love this.
Great little dogs characters charisma plus
You are right, but annoying yap!
Jolly good show chaps"
Love mine! But never forget what killers they are. Mine is great with the grandkids, but killed six kittens one by one. He’s like a junky, can’t resist!

My Jack manages to be around other animals (cats, dogs and mice) without wanting to harm or destroy them.
He just wants to play with the cats and dogs. And if they're not interested in playing, he just goes off to play with me and his toys.
My jack Russell is 16 years old now, he has killed several possums, mice, rats, shrews, and even a few birds but has always been good with other domestic animals. But yes he liked to kill in his prime. I have 2 6 month old jack Russell's now hoping they turn out to be as great as my old dog.
they are only killers if you train them to be killers
great fun
Too funny dogs are great
The commentary is half the fun.
this is so funny to watch.
Looks like a Border Terrier came away with the prize.
Tenacious.
0:01 The one on the right looks like a mouse
that guy can't crank fast enough
and the lure has to go first and very fast
That's a real rat and I am not giving it up!!
lol
0:48 they let the Lions out 😂
It was the Border terrier that won it!
So cure
Cute*
Hahaha it was pure fun🤣
😂you all do this very differently then we do across the pond🐶
Do you have terrier racing in the US? How do you do it? I'm curious.
@@joshuarosen6242 yes..no betting no gambling. 6 in a race 100-300 yards straightway. They wear muzzles..mostly just jack russell terriers. Some other "earth dogs or terriers run seperate" although i watched a fast chihuahua beat jacks a few times lol.they follow a lure ( fake or real fur) and go thru a hole in straw bales or a. foamrubber wall. like they would naturally. 6 catchers in the pen. Also safety bags in back for soft landing. They alao wear color loose color neck cloth colars so we know who won..lol.
@@joshuarosen6242 separate groups in no way affiliated with AKC.
I forgot biggest difference they end in a catch pen. Dont have to chase them lol we have fencing up on both sides😂
@@kentuckylucky5762 That is a good idea although the chaos is part of the fun. It would definitely speed things up a bit.
They need to treat them nice
Mine is too clingy I would have to be at the finish line for him to run otherwise he would wonder around and sniff about
👍🐶🐕
Little bleeders.
How fast is Jack russell terrier?
38MPH.
Usain Bolt can only run at 28MPH. He's a slug compared to a fit JRT.
หมาล่าหนูสินะ
my jack russel is untrained and she runs out the door while running this fast bruh I think she runs almost as fast as me
An adult Jack Russell has been clocked at 38MPH. Usain Bolt, who I assume is much faster than you, can only run at a measly 28MPH so it's safe to say that most healthy Jack Russells can run a lot faster than literally all humans.
foxes beware
David Boson .....Indeed! My Jack encountered a fox in our backyard and I had to separate them! My little girl was giving it hell! This year, that fox brought a buddy and my little Jack is getting older.....I have to watch her every time she goes outside now. My little Jack used to kill Jackrabbits on our property when she was younger and faster.....but the foxes have killed all the rabbits now.
