It's like a countdown to Christmas. So add the number of links that you want to have for your countdown - 25 or 30 or whatever, and then each day pull off a link and the night before Christmas you will have just the character link left. It's just a visual countdown for kiddos to see it's getting closer to Christmas as the chain gets shorter.
