I converted last year August and it felt like I am home. This is where spirit wanted to lead me to. I am more than pleased. And since then I been following and learning off of this pages prayer videos. Then I realized I am a women and should follow slight different rules 😂 but no worries I caught up to speed. I am glad for this account. I can recite the prayers because of this page. 🙏🏾

I converted to Islam on August 1. And this is so helpful and I use it to help me but I also need to learn how to do it on my own and I need prayers so I can do it on my own. So much has happened on that day because my aunt passed away on the day I converted to Islam. And I need prayers to keep me focused on memorized it. I have a disability which is call mental retardation and have learning disability’s so I need to prayers. I know the washing on my own I memorized it so now I need to do the part on praying on my own without the video.

Yes, it is better to recite this, but as this is a basic guide to learning how to pray, we wanted to to teach those who do not know how to pray the key fundamentals only and not confuse them too much with dua's and extra sunnah's.
Insha'Allah once they perfect their prayer, they can then move on to learn the Dua's and other Sunnahs of the prayer insha'Allah.
But how about the opening dua for prayer, its not compulsory

We understand that this is a recommended dua taught to us by our Beloved Prophet (pbuh) but we simply wanted the viewers to grasp the basic fundamentals of the prayer and not overwhelm themselves with the sunnah acts. Once they have perfected the obligatory acts of the prayer, then it is advised to increase their understanding, by further education through their local Islamic Centre.

This helps a lot. It would be even better, if you could add subtitles with roman transliteration of what is being said. Also, in the text below the video both Arabic & roman transliteration, together with English translation - people who are new to this would surely find it useful to know not only what is being said, but also the meaning, otherwise it won't give them much, they'll just know how to pray, but the won't know the meaning. I mean, not everyone speaks Arabic...
