Keep the sleeves short and add trim from the color of the flowers. Fellow nurse and homeschooler here as well- yes, our imagination can run wild! Will keep you in prayers and yes, our faith is strong. Blessings!
Amber please do not rip out your Marianne sweater it is beautiful ❤ the colours are so good together, finish it as you said and keep it for yourself it will be so fresh and lovely looking! Loving your UA-cam channel, its very refreshing and love seeing your lovely family, wee darling dog, making things in your kitchen and seeing your wonderful garden! You are always a blessing xx
The Marianne sweater is so lovely on camera. Definitely go up a needle size for the sleeve but please don’t rip it out. It’s simply beautiful and deserves to be worn and adored. I’m always so thrilled when I see you’ve put up a podcast - I just love your content. I’ve been suffering here with 10 days of no sun but this last week the sun has been out and I’ve been out in it everyday. What a difference in how I feel. We are so alike in that way ❤ We are also alike in health anxiety and heart palpitations - I’ve had them all my life and every doctor I see I ask about them. I pray you will be just fine - you must because I just couldn’t live without your sweet podcasts!
We read about Groundhogs Day and the German farmers brought it to the US, it was something they would do, there’s some groundhogs (yes, Phil has competition 😂) that have 100% accuracy! I love your Vertices Unite, I am so desperate to knit something crazy with color right now, I bought the Marled Magic shawl pattern but have yet to cast anything on because I have so many wips already. I love mockingbirds and we have painted buntings here in Texas that are back as well and I agree, I feel like spring is on the way! 🎉
I've been in SC for awhile and happened to catch the Groundhog Day ceremonies on my phone. Needless to say I was dumbfounded at the large crowd of people who were there for "Phil's" prediction. It was quite something. So glad you're feeling a bit better & as I continue to catch up on your videos, I hope it continues. With God all things are possible 🙏
I love your podcasts. Please don't frog the Marianne Sweater. The colours are really lovely being a total contrast. I like the socks you have knitted for a swop is a colour I would choose. The garment you are wearing has turned out very well it looks good on you. Oh yes you are also going to be busy with the Steven West Shawl. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. And I pray that you will experience healing through the decision the Specialist will make. Take care ❤😊
As a RN myself I hear you Our brain goes fast forward to the worst case scenarios. Thank you for sharing your faith with us it really helps us keep things in perspective. Let go and let God. Continue knitting on your sweater its beautiful!! God bless
You could add a two color Latvian braid at the end of your sleeves before the cuff to add more color interest to the Marianne sweater. I think you’ll like the sweat better when the sky isn’t so grey. 😂❤️
Hi Amber! So thankful for your outlook on your health issues, or should I say your “uplook”. I read Psalm 139 this morning before I watched this video. How encouraging to know the LORD is with you through every step of the way. Maybe you could do short sleeves on the colorwork pullover for spring, then finish them for the fall. I love the socks you are making for the trade. All your work is beautiful. Blessings
Keep going on the grey/gold sweater!!! All that work would be a shame to rip out- your daughter might like it! Great for snagging the Instantpot- very smart way to get one. Goodwill also has brand new items sometimes that people use to give away unwanted wedding presents. Love Midi, and don't mind her tail or snoring in the video at all!
I can definitely see the Gloam cardigan worn with spring colors as well as fall. It would be beautiful with a soft pink or green shirt underneath. As to the Marianne sweater, I like the contrast between the two yarns. It makes the color work stand out and take on a dimensional quality that might be lost if the yarns were more similar.
Your Marianne sweater is beautiful. I do recommend going up a needle size and eliminating at least some of the decreases. It is truly a beautiful sweater that I think you are going to love 💕
Amber, keep going on your flowers yoke. You just need to do what you said, RIP back the sleeve, go up a needle size and see if you like it better with the larger needles and no decreases. I am sure you will, love it when it is done. 😁
❤❤morning amber ☺️🌄 love the sun and mild temps too!!!!🎉🎉 Back to cold and snow next week!!! Glad to hear your thoughts on Gloam! I’ve had this pattern for a long time, changed my mind several times about which yarn to use, what size to make …. I prefer top down & seamless. I don’t feel quite so “intimidated” about seaming now. Two side seams… really, I can do this! The texture pattern drew me in when I first saw it. I still want to make this! Oatmeal or light grey (decisions!). Thanks for sharing!Socks are the BEST! Vertices is another “want to make”! I have a lot of hand-dyed / variegated… perfect for that pattern! Yessss, craving colorful things (purples, blues, greens striped w yellow-gold, long loop - infinity style - cowl on the needles), January was soooo long and grey/gloomy. Ready for Spring colors, for sure!
Magic loop was definitely the best method to do socks for me - zero hand pain. Game changer really. Enjoyed your podcast. Listening when knitting on my Porcelain Sweater and enjoying the challenge of colour-work. Spent some time googling tips first. 😊 Happy knitting 🧶
Your colors for your Maryanne sweater are what made me stop everything and watch this episode! I agree with your decision to use bigger needles on the sleeves. You’ll probably end up loving the finished sweater!
I think your sweater is lovely. I actually think the color combination is very nice. Your idea about ripping out that little bit you’ve done on the sleeve is a good idea. I think color work on the bottom of the sleeve would tie it all together very well. KEEP GOING! It’s going to be beautiful.
Hi Amber, I just love the flower yoke sweater. Definitely keep it and just redo the sleeves and make them wider. 😊 The shawl looks like it will be beautiful. Love the colors so far. I might want to make it. Yes, I am so thankful for my faith and God’s love too. I will pray for you again! Thank you so much for your lovely podcast!😊😊😊
Hi Amber, I think your idea of redoing the sleeves without those decreases will work just fine. The sweater is absolutely gorgeous and I would not rip it out .... ever!! Blessings x from London UK x
Every year, my husband and I watch the “Groundhog Day” movie with Bill Murray and Andie McDowell. It’s just a fun thing that celebrates the desire for Spring to return quickly. Maybe it will be early this year; at least the Mockingbirds think so, right?
I love my InstaPot! Use it everyday. Rice, veggies, meat, stews, I’ve even baked in it. Love it. Doesn’t heat my kitchen up and that’s a game changer for me.
Hi Amber! Those wooden earrings plus your navy printed blouse under your newly finished honey ochre cardigan is such a lovely combo. Love your Maryanna sweater color combo! I totally agree with ripping out the sleeve if you aren't happy with the fabric and picking up with a needle size bigger and spacing out the decreases to what you like (I often will not start decreases until I'm past the elbow if I'm worried about it feeling too tight in the upper arm). And maybe a good wet block will even out the roundness in the gray yarn. Thank you so much for sharing! Take care! ~Stephanie
I think your sweater is lovely. The gray is beautiful with the gold. It's like a pearl gray. When you said you had thought about ripping it out, my heart just cried - NO! DON'T DO IT! Go ahead and go up a needle size and omit the decreases until right above the cuffs. It's going to be wonderful when you get it done. I know you're going to love it in the end. I live the idea of knitting prayer socks. I do shawls and pray for recipients if I know what they need, but never thought about doing socks. Thank you for the idea. I think I'm going to start doing that with mitts and chemo caps as well.
P.s. I will definitely be praying for you. I get your comment about the knowledge from being a nurse and how it can color how you see medical diagnoses. (Retired medical massage therapist here) Our faith can get us through all that life throws at us.
I love your Mariana sweater! I think once you block it, the gray body will fluff up/fill in. I can’t wait to see your Sounder sweater- the colors are gorgeous.
I enjoy your podcast and will offer my opinion on your sweater. I think the colors are well suited to you-the grey looks great with your complexion and the browns in your hair color and glasses look very flattering. I also agree on tight sleeves-if you go up a needle size and do less decreasing, fit will be better. I've had that issue before and it's better to be proactive on it. Keep calm and carry on!
Greetings from Punxsutawney! Thank you for mentioning our festivities from February 2. We had over 40,000 people grace our little town this year, which was really something. Phil may be correct this past week, but next week snow is to be around. But I don’t think it will be long before it grows beautiful again. Now we are waiting for the Big Run peepers to peep. lol. Your sweaters are beautiful, even the one that is giving you a little stress. I’m sure that when you restart the sleeves you will be happy. I can’t imagine selling any socks that I make. My goodness….but giving them away is a delight. I love my Insta pot and use it every week! Potato salad is a cinch, cooking both the potatoes and eggs at the same time. Hot sausage falls apart, as do roasts, steaks, and stews. There is a learning curve , but once you use it, you won’t want to heat your oven. There are many UA-cam channels to guide you. I’m having a peculiar back issue at the present so I have been not doing much so I was able to catch your podcast quite soon after you put it on. I’m glad. I’m going back to watch last week’s now. Take care of yourself….we all love you! ❤
I forgot to mention earlier that I think you will love making broth in the Instant Pot. I have an 8 quart that fits three carcasses in it and then I store the stock/broth in souper cubes which house 4 - 1 cup servings. Since my husband and I are in our 70’s-80’s we eat less and these 1 cup servings work well for us to use in making Mexican rice and other tasty things.
Did we have an early spring last year? I remember seeing a robin on New Year's day a year ago. Amber, your knitting is as beautiful as your spirit. Please don't rip out the sweater. You keep knitting, I'll keep praying for you! Peace and Blessings everyone 🌻🧶☕️
Hi Amber - I'm so happyvto see you! As always, your projects are beautiful and I'm so blessed by hearing about your faith. I so feel the same way - I'm so glad I have my faith: it has sustained me through so much throughout my life. I love Psalm 139. May God continue to bless you and heal you. 🙏❤
Hi Amber, your Marianne is beautiful! Maybe if you block the yoke it will rejuvenate your love for the sweater. I know exactly what you are referring to regarding the roundness of the grey yarn, but it will all even out beautifully because the Barrett Wool Co. yarn gets very plump when blocked. The contrast is so vibrant and with such a gorgeous yoke, it will really stand out. Definitely go up a needle size on the sleeves - I always have to do that because my small circumference gauge is tighter. I think you will love this when it's all finished - I can't wait to see it on you. Make sure you are resting and keeping your mind on only what is "true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise" Phil4:8 You're in my prayers :)
I love when I get to watch your new episodes! You are so amazing and talented and it is so refreshing to hear about your faith in God and trusting in him always. You are an inspiration ❤
I think the Maryann sweater is lovely. Go up a needle size on the sleeve and I think after you block it the grey might bloom a little and everything will flow together better.
I really like the Marianne sweater. Your colors are lovely. I always have to go up at least one needle size for knitting sleeves. I think I would do what you said and try wearing it for a while. If you still don’t like it you can always give it to someone who will love it.
Your Maryanne sweater would look great with my corduroy pants that are the same color as the flowers! The cords are from Landsend about 10 - 15 years ago. lol. You definitely need to keep and enjoy your sweater…just gorgeous❣️ My daughter stops in to spend her lunch break with me several days in her school week… if you happen to be on she enjoys watching a little of your podcast with me…we appreciate that you share your faith with your viewers. I often feel that I feel sorry for people that do not share our faith in God. He has brought me through so many moments in my 83 years….happy and sad. 🙏😊🙏
I think the contrast in the textures and the contrast in the colors in your Maryanna Sweater is going to be great. You cannot get a good idea of what it will look like until you block it. I agree with your diagnosis of the sleeves. Larger needle, no decreases. It's great!
Love your yoke sweater. I would do as you suggested and go back and reknit the arm to your liking. Sending prayers your way! I was so excited to hear from you again!
Always happy to see your podcast episodes pop up. I think your Marianne sweater is beautiful and I think you answered your own question about how to finish your sleeves. Sometimes we just need to ‘talk it out’ 😅 I lived in the Midwest, Ohio, most of my life so I know about those grey days☁️😬After retiring, we moved to Florida, much more sunshine which I love. Sometimes, I miss the season changes. It’s a trade off. You will be in my prayers, Amber, that your health issues get resolved. God is faithful. Prov. 3:5&6 ❤ Keep on knitting 😊
Hi Amber, Your cardigan is gorgeous and I really like how the sleeves turned out. It's a great color on you. I think your decision to not do decreases on the sleeves of the Marianne sweater is a good one. If yoh think it's a little blah, what about adding the yoke design color to the edges of the sleeves and the bottom hem? It is a beautiful design. That Opal yarn is gorgeous, I would love to make a pair socks with it. So glad to know that you are allowing God to hold you in His healing and comforting embrace.
I love your jumper, l think you need to do a full sleeve with no decreases, gathered into the ribbed cuff . I have done this with success. Thankyou for giving us your time . I am in the south west of England, Somerset x
regarding the Maryanna sweater...I agree that the sleeves could be knit on a larger needle (the fabric will look better and the sleeve will be wider). Also, once it's finished and blocked the yarn will full a bit and relax-I think it will all turn out ok!!!
I love your sweater!!!!!!!!! I agree one size bigger needles for sleeves. I love the color choices. Maybe you could think that with the body of the sweater being more plain, it puts all the focus in the gorgeous color work yoke❤
Amber, I have knit with Cloudborne and Barrett wools, and I think their qualities are very different. I knit, and unraveled a Cloudborne sweater, and then donated it. Hard to explain how it looks but I think you are experiencing the same problem as me. But, the yoke is beyond beautiful...stunning !!! I would reknit the sleeves in a looser gauge, make them short, and use the Barrett wool for the ribbing. Would be a stellar layering piece in your wardrobe....best wishes on your health journey ❤ Janet
my suggestion for Marianne sweater. pop needle thru below the yoke and make the yoke into a cowl. And knit upwards from the armholes a new yoke in cool tones to match the body.
Your Maryanna sweater is gorgeous! I think it will look beautiful on you, but if you end up not liking the fit or color when it's done it will be a wonderful gift. I had a similar situation just last night where I was hemming and hawing about continuing with a sweater and I just decided that I'm going to go ahead and finish the sleeves (on a larger needle and without decreasing). If I decide it's not for me when it's done, it will be gifted. Wishing you all the best with your health!
I have an Instant Pot for mainly 1 reason, to make my own yogurt. It is so much cheaper when I eat Greek yogurt and granola (that I also make myself) almost everyday. 1 gallon of milk and about a full day of hands off cooking, lasts me about a week. We also make pasta sauce, but not as often as I make yogurt. There's a lot of potential with it, you just have to experiment with it. Good Luck!
Amber, it's always a joy to see your podcast. I love all of your making. The Maryanna sweater is beautiful. I understand how you feel in regards to the color not feeling right to you, but you may end up feeling differently. What a gorgeous pair of socks for the trade. Now I want that beautiful yarn! You continue to be in my prayers. ❤❤❤
Oh gosh, fabulous episode! Your cardigan is stunning and looks so cozy! The Maryanna sweater will be gorgeous. I agree that the arms are getting too small. Your Vertices Unite color combo for the first section is beautiful! I hope your doctor’s get your heart issues figured out soon. Hope and pray. I know in 2022 when I was diagnosed with a sarcoma on my forehead and found out that the surgeon had to remove part of my skull I was stunned but knew God had my back. I believe he sent people to be in my life at the exact moments that I needed (long story but I know you know what I mean). I went into my 12 hour surgery with a smile and God holding my hand. Same thing when I had my radiation. Beyond blessed. Sending many prayers to you, Amber. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌸🌻🌼🪻🌷
Your Maryanna sweater is gorgeous !! So beautiful and you will enjoy it when you’re finished and you’re so close!! I just finished my first Felix cardigan and I made it longer but it’s almost too long so I’m starting another one! You have inspired me and I love your UA-cam channel! I’m also currently in Pittsburgh playing with my 4 month old granddaughter !
Your sweater is absolutely beautiful. Maybe do short sleeves and it will completement the Gloam Sweater well. For myself I don't usually do decreases on the sleeves until I get to the cuff and then I figure that out later. And that lady will love the socks that your knitting for her.
Your Marianne sweater is gorgeous. The grey allows the flowers to bloom all the more. Your plan for the sleeves is good. I have recently embraced ripping back when something doesn't feel right with my knitting. I learned that if I just march on and finish something when I have doubts while in progress, the end product isn't something I love and it doesn't get worn. So instead of wasting the entire knitting time on an unused item, I sacrefice a little time to redo what doesn't feel right.
Hi Amber! I’m a new listener and I’m so glad I found your podcast. I too am a believer and my faith is everything to me. Thank you for sharing yours. I am a new podcaster and (RobinznestKnits) and I’ve been listening to new podcasts to learn podcasting tips from. I’m definitely subscribing! And I love your sweater but if you don’t love it now you probably won’t love it later. I think gifting it would be a lovely idea.
Prayers continue dear Amber 😊 I truly will be completely lost without YAH ... thank you for sharing updates with all of us. Remember, every trial makes us stronger and when we look back, we see YAH's hands holding us tight all along. 😊 Beautiful makes as always.
I love that you were able to trade your knitting and baking skills! That’s amazing! Also I think your Marianne sweater is really beautiful and that the flowers just pop with the neutral background! I think it’d be such a fun and happy gardening sweater in the transition seasons, too 😊 I’ll keep praying for you and this health season, Amber! 💕
Hey Amber At the bottom of color-work do two rows of purl. Then do the body in different grey hue. Maybe a blue/grey yarn or green/grey??? Just a suggestion!!😊
dear amber i get what you show us about the maryanna sweater and i tried to think it over - i could imagine if you rip a small amount of the body to create a cropped version and then knit some small rows in the color of the flowers in the yolk and then the ribbing and make the arms wider - maybe then it will not look bland for you anymore - but on the other hand - the yolk is so beautiful - maybe if you knit the arms more to your liking and you wear it often it will become a very loved sweater sending you all my best wishes ❤❤❤
Amber, I agree with you about ripping the arms out and possibly going up a needle. Most times I do that and do less decreases because the sweaters seem to have such tight arms that it’s uncomfortable with long-sleeved tops, and my arms are 8”! As for the color, I think you may be correct in them not being quite right, but I think you want that beautiful yoke to be the star.
I don't usually comment but I had to say please finish you sweater. I think it is lovely. The contrast is nice and the grey seems a warm grey to me. Thanks for your podcasts 😊
Love your cardigan and the socks especially the ones for your trade..that was a good idea!! And yes to rip back a bit on the sleeves and use bigger needle ..I love the colors!! And yes to your scripture that David sad..we are wonderfully made and He knows us from the beginning!!
I think the colors of your Maryanna sweater are an unexpected combination, which makes the whole sweater really interesting. Keep it. The arms do look tight, so a larger hook & no decreases may help. Still praying for the doctors, that God will give them wisdom. Praying that you are constantly aware God's peace and presence with you.
Amber, please don’t rip out your Maryanna sweater, I love your ideas to change the sleeves. Also, I like the cool and warm colors together, it pops your colorwork detail. I love your podcasts. Thank you for being here 🤗
I think an instant pot is just a fancy pressure cooker....I MUCH prefer my air fryer...I use it for EVERYTHING, especially reheating.. I rarely use a microwave anymore. I love the mini vertices unite!!! It's adorable...like a big coaster!! Definitely DON'T frog the sweater!! Just redo the sleeve!! It's beautiful!! There's a mockingbird in my area that has cellphone ringtones!! 😂🤣😂 They look different regionally, ours are solid black (central California).... And actually attack cats!!! 😳 Blue jays are even worse for attacking!!! Ours aren't crested. But some of the ferals I feed are afraid of them!! 😂🤣😂
Your mockinbird makes cell phone ringtones? That's hilarious! Our mockingbirds also attack our cats, but they have good reason to. Our cats have killed a couple of their baby birds.
I love the Gloam! Also, for the colorwork yoke sweater, I love it! I think the "flatness" of the gray is a beautiful canvas for the colorwork and the raised orange/brown is gorgeous against it. Definitely make the sleeves comfortable, for sure, but I love it! (A thought that might help with balance and maybe getting through the sleeves: what if you mirror the colorwork on the sleeves before the cuffs? I always love designs like that.) I hope it's so satisfying to knit and to finish!
Amber, I am knitting a Felix and had to rip out the sleeve and pick up again with a larger needle. It made all the difference. I hope that works for you. The sweater is lovely.
I almost always encounter a wall of self doubt at some point in a project. I question the color, the design, the size….. if I put it in time out I can approach it with fresh eyes at a later date. Your sweater is lovely….finish it. Blocking will make a lot of difference.
I personally love the sweater! What if you would include a bit of color work at the base of the sleeves before you start the cuff, maybe something similar to the leaves in the top? Tie in the rust color somewhere lower on the sweater. And for the blanket, actually keep eye on your guage. I did the knitted blanket kit a few years ago from Jimmy Beans and actually ran out of yarn for a few of the colors. I wasn't the only one so they were nice and would send a small amount to finish that section (I guess some of their skeins was under the 100g). Happy knitting! 🧶
Amber, I love the sweater! I love the soft grey color and the beautiful colorwork. I think they compliment each other. As I see it, the grey is the ground and the colorwork is the highlight/focal point. It really stands out, and part of that is the difference of the textures. Keep going on it!
My 6-year-old was quite interested in Punxsutawney Phil’s shadow because he desperately wants an early spring. 😂 Fingers crossed Phil is correct this year! Also, I recently finished a test knit of a scarf I think you’d like since you enjoyed the Sophie scarf. It’s called the Mill Hollow scarf and it has a beautiful lace panel down the middle, but it is very easy to tie around your neck just like the Sophie!
Keep the sleeves short and add trim from the color of the flowers. Fellow nurse and homeschooler here as well- yes, our imagination can run wild! Will keep you in prayers and yes, our faith is strong. Blessings!
Great idea!
Oh great idea!
Amber, loving your . I'm due for a new pair. Could you tell me where you purchased them?
Glasses😂
Hello Carol. I got them from my eye doctor. They are a Marie Claire frame though.
The Marianne sweater is so lovely on camera. Definitely go up a needle size for the sleeve but please don’t rip it out. It’s simply beautiful and deserves to be worn and adored. I’m always so thrilled when I see you’ve put up a podcast - I just love your content. I'm with the love comments on the sweater with the flowers on the yoke. Up that needle size and don't decrease! I think it will look beautiful.
you might entice yourself on the Maryanna with the addition of a bit of the colorwork just above the cuffs
Blessings
Amber. I really love the contrast colour combination. I agree with modifying the sleeves. Finish it as it I beautiful ❤️

The Marianne Sweater - add some gold to the cuffs and add some gold, using duplicate sts, around the bottom ribbing. 😊 Should pull it together nicely.
❤❤morning amber ☺️🌄 love the sun and mild temps too!!!!🎉🎉
Back to cold and snow next week!!!
Love ur sweater on you !!!!and ur instant pot swap socks!!!love thst color too!!!found it inline in a Canadian shop!!!!have so much sock yarn!!!

Thank you for talking about your faith, especially for the hard times because that is what faith is all about!
Love the sweater colors. The yolk is so beautiful. Make it a short sleeve for Spring.
Faith is very precious indeed.
Loved the opal socks.❤
I think your sweater is lovely. I actually think the color combination is very nice. Your idea about ripping out that little bit you’ve done on the sleeve is a good idea. I think color work on the bottom of the sleeve would tie it all together very well. KEEP GOING! It’s going to be beautiful.
Hi Amber, I just love the flower yoke sweater. Definitely keep it and just redo the sleeves and make them wider. 😊
The shawl looks like it will be beautiful. Love the colors so far. I might want to make it.
Yes, I am so thankful for my faith and God’s love too. I will pray for you again! Thank you so much for your lovely podcast!😊😊😊
I have hopes your Marianne will live. Think a vase of dried flowers on a window ledge, seen against an early Spring sky. Beautiful, actually.
Hi Amber, I think your idea of redoing the sleeves without those decreases will work just fine. The sweater is absolutely gorgeous and I would not rip it out .... ever!! Blessings x
from London UK x
Every year, my husband and I watch the “Groundhog Day” movie with Bill Murray and Andie McDowell. It’s just a fun thing that celebrates the desire for Spring to return quickly. Maybe it will be early this year; at least the Mockingbirds think so, right?
I love my InstaPot! Use it everyday. Rice, veggies, meat, stews, I’ve even baked in it. Love it. Doesn’t heat my kitchen up and that’s a game changer for me.
Agree socks don’t need blocking but the yarn usually benefits/blooms after a quick soak, especially Fabel!
The sweater is fabulous!!!! Unpick sleeve start again with no decreases and don't make long, I only do a few rows then about an inch rib.
Take care! ~Stephanie
I Enjoy your podcasts! My devotion this week said “ you can’t worry and pray at the same time”. God’s got this.
The Marianne sweater is gorgeous. It shows off your beautiful knitting skills. This is my 2nd time viewing your channel and I enjoy your content.
Thank you so much!
I think you did answer your Maryanna sweater question. Finish it. It will look lovely on you.
Yes, we had such a mild, warm, and sunny winter last year as well!
the maryanna sweather is beautiful. to me the contrast between the yarn (color and type) lends to the uniqueness of the project. i hope you finish it!
Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise" Phil4:8
You're in my prayers :)
I love the stripes on the shawl. I think it is going to look great! Lovely podcast as usual!
The cords are from Landsend about 10 - 15 years ago. lol. You definitely need to keep and enjoy your sweater…just gorgeous❣️
My daughter stops in to spend her lunch break with me several days in her school week… if you happen to be on she enjoys watching a little of your podcast with me…we appreciate that you share your faith with your viewers.
I am also. doing the JB blanket. My prayers are for a good outcome with you mitral valve, let it be in Gods hands. 😊
Don’t rip! I think the sleeve adjustments will feel better and everything else will block out beautifully! ❤
Hi Amber,
Your cardigan is gorgeous and I really like how the sleeves turned out.
I would rip back the sleeve & make the adjustments you talked about on your sweater. It will be lovely with those changes.
Keep the Marianne sweater! It’s lovely. Perhaps add a motif above the cuff …? I really like the grey.
I’m also so thankful that God is our solid rock in times of trials. What would I do without Him. Your sweater is beautiful.
Prayers continue dear Amber 😊 I truly will be completely lost without YAH ... thank you for sharing updates with all of us. Remember, every trial makes us stronger and when we look back, we see YAH's hands holding us tight all along. 😊 Beautiful makes as always.
Keep going Amber, beautiful sweater!
Your Maryanna is really pretty, IMO. I bet blocking will cure all issues:)
Hey Amber
At the bottom of color-work do two rows of purl. Then do the body in different grey hue. Maybe a blue/grey yarn or green/grey??? Just a suggestion!!😊
dear amber i get what you show us about the maryanna sweater and i tried to think it over - i could imagine if you rip a small amount of the body to create a cropped version and then knit some small rows in the color of the flowers in the yolk and then the ribbing and make the arms wider - maybe then it will not look bland for you anymore - but on the other hand - the yolk is so beautiful - maybe if you knit the arms more to your liking and you wear it often it will become a very loved sweater
sending you all my best wishes ❤❤❤
Rip! You answered your question. You don't like the sleeve. You like the sweater, and your idea for the new sleeve will work.
Oh my goodness your cardigan is beautiful with that blue top! Keeping you on my prayer list ❤
I’m using one of the Opal Van Gogh yarns to make a Tolsta Tee and the colors are so stunning. Your “barter socks” look amazing.
I think your colors are fantastic. Please do not rip out. I agree redo the sleeve. It is sooo beautiful.
I’m in central/north Jersey and I’ve seen robins all winter.
Once it is blocked it look different. However you are correct on arm .
😂🤣😂
They look different regionally, ours are solid black (central California).... And actually attack cats!!! 😳
Blue jays are even worse for attacking!!!
Amber just have short sleeves for your Marianne I too am doing the vertices unite love this oattern lovely podcast roll on spring x
I always love designs like that.)
I hope it's so satisfying to knit and to finish!
I always go up a needle size for the sleeves. I don’t do any decreases until I get to the cuffs for a looser sleeve.
I love the colour combination of your Marianne sweater.
