BUDGIE , thanx to Polish radio DJ from 70-ties Mr. Piotr Kaczkowski, who love this band , Introduced all of us to (me personally in 1975, first one was "Parents") Budgie`s music. Yeah! 1975 and still my top band ever!!! When I came to US in 1985, not one record store in the whole city of Chicago( no offence- "Sad, but true" ... ) recognized the band, vinyl- forget it! Burke Shelley( R.I.P.) always mentioned Poland and how they got FINALLY "more VISIBLE". TRUE! They loved to come to play in Poland, I saw them live in 1982. He even requested to do a medical operation on his ( not sure singing problem few years ago). Only Poland, he said! They were HUGE BAND in Poland and still is! Sadly, there is no more BUDGIE! Personally, they were way better than other famous bands from that era( IT`S ME). Why? I think I know why, but better not to say it! Nobody played in those years like BUDGIE!!! BUT- It`s still better late than never! MY HIGHEST RESPECT FOR AGES NOW!!! The funny thing is , they are getting bigger and bigger! I always kept saying that! " ONE DAY- YOU WILL SEE ...!" Budgie first album is my UNO! Let`s ALL enjoy THEIR TIMELESS MUSIC! Regards, Thomas(Poland-then, Chicago-now, for years); Thanx to Metallica`s BUDGIE cover`s they are much more recognizable these days! And covers made by others, usually pay the bills! The same thing said Mr. Brian Tatler from Diamond Head- thanx to Metallica also! AM I EVIL? ... Bye!
