These were the cars leaving 2024's Trax at Silverstone, featuring a range of modified cars from Japane, Europe, UK, US and more! The police were just as active as usual, if not more, to control the departures of the thousands of cars that attended.

Police love these events, easy pickings and easy revenue.
Don't be daft. They don't make money off these things. At most they are issuing a dozen or so tickets. That's like a grand tops. You think it costs less than that to police this event?!
Anyway, most of the time they are just a presence to stop people being numpties and you can see in this video it is mostly working. Even when they do pull people up, it's normally a stern talking to.
Its hard to defend the police when whenever a crime happens or is happening they always say they have no one available, or don't even turn up at all and just give you a crime reference and dont look into it at all even if you've got evidence, but yet you see they have multiple cars worth of resources to just sit around watching people just leaving a car event. 1 police car ? sure, 2 ? maybe reasonable to keep things safe and in order. But this many is ridiculous.
Firstly, traffic police are a different unit. They can't just send a traffic officer round to investigate your break-in.
Secondly, prevention is better than cure. They need police at these events to deter the muppets from putting the public at risk. If people didn't do that, they wouldn't need to be there, or wouldn't need so many. Blame the muppets, not the police.
