    I watched that video 6 years ago, when I start playing Ukulele and I was AMAZED by his playing, never thought this can be possible for me to be that « good » . And 6 years later I can do 80% of what he shows. Even if you thought that is impossible, trust me , it is.

      I don't I will ever get to 80% but that's okay - I can aspire. Thank you for reminding me that putting in the time and effort does pay off.

      I didn't think it's impossible for you to do 80% of what he's doing, but if you're convinced otherwise, I'll take your word for it.

    I've been coming back to this video since I first heard of Jake in February this year. When I first watched your lessons I thought "WOW" that's amazing I could never do any of that. over the months more of it started to look possible, well finally I'm now able to do some of the techniques that you kindly shared here many thanks for the lessons and all you do for people peace and the UKULELE

    • @cdb-ez6xg
      @cdb-ez6xg 8 років тому +4

      +jangchubTashi Thanks for the perspective. I came across this video about a month ago after getting my uke, and Jake just blew me away. Well, I've taken my third lesson with an instructor and found myself coming back here to practice in-between. While most, especially the ten finger stroke, is still beyond where I'm at, I can see myself getting it one day!

    • @btrs1994
      @btrs1994 8 років тому

      +jangchubTashi dont forget to be realistic - you'll have to do a bit of work whichever method you follow for learning to play the Ukelele I've been studying teaching yourself uke and discovered a fantastic resource at Arthurs Uke Blog (google it if you are interested)

    Most of my life I have played Flamenco guitar. This my second day with a Ukulele. It's 5 in the morning and I can't wait to get started. Your teaching is cool & clear, so thanks. I am surprised to see that most of the right hand techniques are the same as my Spanish. I did all right yesterday, I hope for the same today. .. You are inspiring ... Big THANKS !!

      Nice, I figure I'm on a 3 month schedule of about 30 mins a day. 1W in right now and just starting to hear the 10 finger roll.
      You're going to have to post a video. At 2 months later you should be able to nail this without a thought.
      I'm guessing you play other instruments, probably guitar or banjo no?

All we need to add is the love he has for the instrument and Malcolm Gladwell's 10,000 hours. Truly! Any of us could be Jake, or at least be true virtuosos, if we simply (!) put in the time and practice. Thank you, Jake!
