I'm amazed at everything about Avantgardey--their spellbinding synchronization, Akane's genius choreography, their precise body control, their humorous facial expressions, their stamina, and the JOY they elicit in fans of nearly every culture. On a technical note relevant to this video, I'm amazed at their ability to flawlessly scale performances that require a high degree of spacial awareness to a wide variety of venue shapes and sizes. Avantgardey is one of a kind!
agree with all and there is one more thing i already wrote in some comments... they don't always dance on same positions, or at least some of them, they can swap and dance other parts and you don't even notice

This guest performance at the opening of SAPPORO COLLECTION Autumn/Winter 2023 show on Nov 24th was absolutely amazing. They performed an extended version of the IDOL routine with all-new choreography on the catwalk/runway. The whole troupe appeared in their signature IDOL purple uniform. 💜 I'm so happy for them. Bravo! 👏

it's not uncommon to see highly synchronized Japanese performance; but this is probably the next level 👀👀 incredible sync & stern expression enhances the illusion as if they are mechanized dancing dolls 👀👀

Talk about high energy! I figure those dancers lose about five pounds per dance. Do enough of them without a break and some of those girls would disappear!
Love them but the camera work sucks. You need cameras shooting from in front and occasionally above, this is too crazy and choppy, it doesn't show the group at it's best.

これ好きなんだけど、ステージが暗いのが難点。なんでもっと見易いライティング設定にしなかったのか。後列が見にくくて残念でならない。
全く同感です。息のピタリとあった全員の動きが見えてこそのダンスなのに…。嫌がらせとしか思えないほど酷い演出。

おじさん、おじいさんが老眼で見えにくい、暗いとイライラするんだよ、なんて言ってるように聞こえますが、明るい目の色の外国人照明デザイナーの仕事ならばアーティスチックな判断としてリスペクトすべき案件かもしれないと、理解すべき。あくまで国際的なイベント／ショーに招かれた形。ステージ真ん中につながっているのは、ランウェイ。花道じゃないの。
演出家が無能だし、カメラワークからも絶対アーティストの良い所(今回で言うとフォーメーションダンス)を理解してない人がやってんだなって分かる。
