  • Record high water level is causing a lot of erosion along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Here is a couple of passes along a Lost Valley North of Muskegon, a 1 mile stretch, showing the erosion right up to homes on the front dune. Those who live near here will immediately recognize the hundreds of feet of frontage that has disappeared. See the many different sea walls going up to confront and try to stop the erosion.

It is not wise to build structures on sandy shore lines. The Great Lakes are well known for violent weather and mother nature is unforgiving.

Oh wow what a combination....here in Australia we associate the beach with summer, not snow :) for scenery it looks magical!!!!

Mother Nature is real, the claimant change, move before you get soaked at night.

so many homes have time to be moved. wish they would so the trash of them falling in the lake would not happen. so sad for all.

The incoming tides wash away the beach sand, thereby establishing given water depths, thus ensuring permanent reclamation by the waters, and then the tides are simply gonna then go crashing and pouring over those breakwalls.

We built the interstate hwy system. Why not an aquaduct system to divert water to the drought stricken western states?
