Lindsey Adams Buckingham (born October 3, 1949) is an American singer, musician, songwriter, and producer, best known as the former lead guitarist and male lead singer of the music group Fleetwood Mac from 1975 to 1987 and 1997 to 2018. In addition to his tenure with Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham has released six solo albums and three live albums. As a member of Fleetwood Mac, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. Buckingham was ranked 100th in Rolling Stone's 2011 list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time". Buckingham is known for his fingerpicking guitar style.
'Trouble' is a single from 'Law and Order', his first solo album, released in 1981. "Trouble", featuring drumming by Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood, reached No. 9 on the U.S. charts; the album itself reached No. 32 on the Billboard 200. Lindsey appeared on Saturday Night Live on February 6, 1982 and performed "Trouble" and "Bwana" with Mick Fleetwood's Zoo.[2]

All good things must come to an end. The US has been over with since 2020. RIP USA.
@Explorer927 This is so true. I always remember being a kid and walking around at the carnival and when you would bump into someone it was an excuse or sorry with a smile, and when you met eyes with someone it wasn't a mug but a nod with a smile. These days are now filled with way too much aggression and hostility. This music is a time machine for me. The vibes it gives off. Timeless and special ✨️
This was one of Lindsey's best songs!👍

My man is one of the best !
Fleetwood Mac be nothing without this mans musical genius , He added depth to the band .
You must listen to the album 'Bare Trees'🤙🏼
He’s high as a kite and fighting the microphone, an 80’s moment.
Just seeing this version, he seems extremely high, and also maybe not particularly delighted having to lip synch/guitar synch. The keyboard player for The Box Tops literally removes his hands from the keyboard and smiles at the camera in the black and white footage of "The Letter". It's just such an amazing song and This is just coke 80s version. And I am here for it!
Nahhh.You're just an idiot.
I think somebody behind the camera owes him money.
F that. His genius guitar covered.
He's mocking the fact that he has to sing and play playback as it was usual then.... Musicians hated it!
Definitely Fleetwood Mac, it was no longer the same without the musical contribution of Lindsey Buckyngham, a true genius in music...
Saw them twice live - once right after the white album and after Rumours - Lindsey was the main show. Great.

You people crack me UP! ⏫⏫⏏️📲⏏️⏫⏫
And then Jim Morrison walked into the room.
When you are appearing on a national TV show, and lip and finger synching your awesome song, there's an incredible amount of internal and external pressure to get it right. Lindsey was spectacular in the performance that was vastly different than what he would normally be doing on stage. All you naysayers couldn't hold a candle to his talent. BTW, when he was recruited by Mick, Stevie wasn't invited. Lindsey's love for her made it possible for her to gain her own super stardom. He carried her along and she developed a huge ego. Without Lindsey, Fleetwood Mac would have faded into obscurity, and possibly so would have Buckingham Nicks. The two groups came together at an incredibly fortuitous time. BN had a noticeable small hit. FM had Oh Well. Put together, they became a musical Juggernaut with an amazing guitarist.
He is so high it's adorable. I'm sure he chuckles to himself occasionally while watching this. Miss the music, miss the era, and definitely miss getting high and partying around the clock. This vid reminds me of all of the above.

Absolutely gutted I was born in the wrong decade as I only discovered my crazy obsession with Lindsey & Fleetwood Mac a year ago! I will never have to opportunity to see them play live in concert as I don't think they will tour in the UK again. Lindsey is super gorgeous here 😍
He was FIRED from Fleetwood Mac in 2018 at the behest of Stevie Nicks, something most FM fans can't forgive her for.
So, yeah, you're not gonna see Lindsay tour with Fleetwood Mac again. Ever.
I saw them in 97. It was one of the best shows I’ve seen to date
But the music will always be here for us, so you should find some solace in that...
@@MackTrucker617 Saw them 2004,Minneapolis,Mn. They were all together then, after a long break from one another. Last Summer we went to Tribute Band Concert,Fleetwood Mac. @@lg316 Maybe not underrated , more under appreciated perhaps . Man is a super talent , probably too much talent , would of probably been more appreciated if he stuck to playing guitar and wrote fewer songs and did fewer projects . Of course like most with this much talent and fame , poor judgement and poor choices followed .
His greatest moment was the Fleetwood Mac song Go Your Own Way.
@Robert - I beg to differ, my man. Lindsey was absolutely the driving force behind FM's most successful years. Some of Stevie's greatest hits (in FM) were indeed produced by him (solely). Everything from the melodies to the arrangements. Remember, Stevie was more of poet/lyrist with very rudimentary instrument playing skills. His greatest moment was taking a known blues band that was on the verge of extinction to a dominate rock/pop band throughout the 70' & 80"s.
Ok guitarist........"musical genius" is stretching it quite a bit....all he's done is write some hit songs like thousands of other artists.
Pete Townshend I'd call a musical genius....listen to the lyrics of his song "A Little is Enough" or his Rock Opera "Tommy" or "Quadrophenia".

This is one of my favorite songs ever of Lindsey/Fleetwood Mac. But I have to say, he is absolutely out of his mind here. The man is unhinged. Not that I mind. It's certainly makes for compelling, entertaining viewing!
You do know he's just goofing...
He isn't actually singing or playing his guitar, so he had to do _something_ in the way of a performance. That something, evidently, was act-like--a-complete-doofus. I hate how all of these shows were playbacks. You flew him over there, let the man sing, for Pete sake.
@@alliehamilton-calhoun162 His live solo performances of this song are very boring. He's got to have the whole band. The background singing is half of the song. But his facial antics are required for this particular song.
People are saying he’s coked out here, but with what little I know, it seems more to me he’s acting to create interest (which has definitely worked for me!). If you watch his other videos, he tends to always bring this unusual but dramatic antics to the visuals. Even in the Fleetwood Mac video “Little Lies” there’s a couple parts in there with these same silly over-the-top antics. I highly doubt a functioning rock star is going to go on television performance (even if lip synced and pretending to play instrument) coked out, but maybe I’m wrong. You’d think there would be some hesitation for humiliation and ruin and just wait to get your high later.
I notice they stopped zooming in on his face real fast
This song is way way ahead of its time

@@crisprtalk6963 Started as a 6 stringer, but his coke fueled fingers tore through them like tissues!
I thought it was three strings, but pause anywhere around 3:15 and one can get a good look. I think "D" and the high "e" are missing - this would make sense with these being the thinnest strings core wound and unwound strings on an electric (like “G” and “e” also go first on an acoustic). He is so dedicated to his craft that he could probably do more with four strings than many others can with six.
There is a video of the Cure performing "Primary" on Australian "Countdown", and in it Robert Smith is playing second bass with the strings so loose they flop together. Maybe this is all part of making a statement. Love these archive videos that capture what the world, fashion and music scene was like - this one especially - thanks for uploading.
