Trophy Eyes perform their original song 'Breathe You In' in the Like A Version studio. Like A Version is a segment on Australian radio station triple j. Every week a musician or band comes into the studio to play one of their own songs and cover a song they love.

I really like this approach of Breathe You In. It's different but beautiful. It really shows how wide John Floreani's vocal range is.

The low-octave verses make this sound akin to a song sung by either Leonard Cohen or Nick Cave. Wasn't sure how I felt about the choruses at first, though I really grew to love the almost eerie change in tones with this live-studio version. I'm just super-impressed with this band and I can't wait to hear more from them. Easily one of my favourite bands working today and I wish 'em all the best with their future productions.

Honestly really cool version. Would love to hear this version but acoustic. Just from little brother, you can tell that John had a lot of musical influences. I mean he covered Johnny Cash. I feel like this almost has a johnny cash vibe feel to it that he's trying to display. Pretty cool in my opinion.
