If Marie was six in '58 or '59, when Chuck first wrote the song, she would be around 72 now. I wonder what her life was like? Does she still live in Memphis?
As a matter of fact, yes she still lives in Memphis. If you come to Memphis, you can find her house it's only 2 doors down from mine. Just turn left where the Johnson place use to be. It's no longer there, the city had it demolished in 67 after that really bad storm we had. Anyway turn left there, then go about 100 feet past that big oak tree and make another right. You'll come upon a white camper sitting in the driveway, Marie's house is the one across the street from the camper. I live 2 doors down from her. She is always glad to say hello to a stranger. Tell her I said hey.
I'm a Beatle maniac ,thank you very much for this!!! I thought I'd heard everything, WOW, and too think Decca wouldn't sign them!!!
Thanks
Memphis is a cool city. Standing on the bluff looking out on the mighty Mississippi is a unique feeling
This sounds great! Do you plan on doing any of the BBC sessions?
Planning on that after finishing the star club tapes
@@fandyarrifqi I heard your mix of Crying, Waiting, Hoping last night which sounded incredible, can't wait for more!👍
Do you have any suggestions on which song from BBC sessions that i should work on first?
@@fandyarrifqi So many to choose from, probably one of the more obscure songs. Whatever you do it will be great.
