Just love watching these excellent videos.. i just missed the haydays of lorry driving as i started in 2004.. my step dad was a lorry driver so i have the memories of going out with him in leyland buffalo's and roadtrains.. less traffic paper tacos happy days
Great selection of trucks from my time on the road.the pic of the Scania 82m reminded me of the first brand new truck i got the keys to.the Volvo F7 reminded me of the worst truck i ever had.just my memories of my time driving trucks.
I worked for many years for DC Jeakins in their Basildon depot and whose trailer is pictured with a Snaylam of Bolton unit. Jeakins, who also initially had a depot in Cheetham Hill before moving to Little Lever, had a working arrangement with Snaylam. The last I knew of the Little Lever depot it was owned by Thomas Harwood.
Best yet Christopher thanks .I noted a very strong Bolton and district theme here and being brought up in Bolton and having a dad working long distance you can see that I was spoiled with the amount of local companies operating around this area My Dad drove for Parker’s Transport along with British Road Services and the companies of Fred Snaylam and Thomas Harwood and sons would only be very local to my home so great to see all those in your video.May I enquire what is the sound track as the music is epic .cheers Mike.
If you spent long in a road train you will have a bad back never drove a more uncomfortable motor went like the wind with a big cam Cummins but ride was atrocious
Makes your heart stop when you look back at these videos how young we were wheres time gone
It does Harvey its nice to remember
James Booths Bedford KM brings back fond memories great truck
