I have made several ring bound journals and do enjoy this type of journals. Right now I am working on a memory journal for my neighbor who lost her dad to the covid virus in December. I hope she likes it as much as I do. Thank you for your tutorials....Bev

I love ring bound junk journals, I make a lot for gifts. Ring bound gives me and recipient freedom to remove or move pages. I made 5 sewn travel journals for use when we take family to Gulf Shores, Alabama this summer. Love junk journaling and learning from you. Thanks.

Alway great with new ideas. I have made one for long time back but it took me so long time and in the moment I am working on a HUGE project I really don’t know where it ends 😂
I am making a folio but not one I have seen before..I am taking all the ideas I have got from all the people I am following. With a lot of windows an flips and flops👍😀 very exciting.
I haven’t made anything for a long long time because I have got a massive anxiety attack with all this lockdown again and again..we are still in lockdown since 6. December. I normally gets some help for my social anxiety but But I having a lot of fun making my folio floppy 👍😉
But maybe I should make a ring bound one for my next project...thanks for sharing your beautiful creations 😍

Beautiful, Tina. Time consuming, but so worth it. I’m lucky if I can get two pages done in a day! It’s always interesting trying to remember that you have to allow room for where the holes need to be punched.
Yes the pages do take a while to put together don't they? Two in a day is pretty good I think x
I have made several ring bound journals. I like the idea of them, but the ring binding makes them difficult for me to use. They are fun to make!
I quite like the fact that when you come to use them you can rearrange the pages and take pages out to journal on etc, but I understand what you're saying. They are beautiful though x
T, these are great!! The distress ink "Vintage Photo", I make my own. although it looks "Brown" to the eye.. it's actually a base of "Yellow Ochre" why the blue turns green or the pink runs orange when using color you may want to use a light touch of walnut... or retouch the color after vintage photo.. like blue , vintage phot then a lil blue again just lightly or it'll get dark... but I would have to explain color theory to cancel the yellow like for blue and vintage photo you would need to add a pink or red to get a brown all the primary make brown red yellow and blue... so whatever ones is missing adding it makes brown hope that helps... and expands your play time... these look great regardless... Oh p.s do you have a dollar tree across the pond I have a great toy for you?? so much fun... ttys x~J

Love the blue! I use wine corks with Velcro dots glued on one end to have extra inking tools - works great! Super cheap.

Good Morning Tina, well I have days when things don't come together and I'm busy talking it out just like you.. except I'm not doing a video.. lol I'm finally getting around to making a ring bound ephemera book... Can't stand going through plastic containers to look for things.. putting it in a book and all of will be right at my finger tips... Although it may weigh more than a small child by the time I stuff everything in it.. lol Hope your dinner turns out for you and I will see you at our next tea time.. 🤗

I've always like the blue/brown combo. So pretty. I just finished my 3 ring, i used pretty paper so did not fully cover/embellish the pages. Just mostly pockets and tucks

Making diy embossing folder today. That blue and brown does look gorgeous together but I also love the green and brown too lol. Oh those thingies are called swing tabs, love the word doobries 😆. Love my slow cooker! Chunky chilli is our favourite😋your pages turned out very pretty 😍💖

Loving this journal. I make something similar but it's a photo album. The little things that you are calling "thingamajigs" are called "swing tabs" started out in the jewelry world but were snagged by the rest of the crafting community! Keep up the fun. I am so very glad your room is tidy but I miss the tidy Fridays. Love from North Carolina USA.

Just starting a ring bound journal. I'm having trouble deciding a colour scheme. I just picked up a craft lot on my local buy and sell.....over 1000 different papers, tags, stickers, Fiskars scissors case (25 pairs) for $80 now I have too many choices 😂

These pages are so beautiful! I hope to get even half as good as you! I have a question about glue...do you have a video explaining the different glues you use to adhere papers, embellishments, lace, etc? I know you use different glues for different things but I really need to know what works best for what type of thing I'm trying to glue down. Thank you so much for your videos 😊
Oh thank you so much Jennie. I don't have a video talking about different glues that I use I'm afraid. However, I tend to use Anita's Tacky Glue (PVA style glue) for gluing paper bits, Fabri Tac for gluing fabric bits, and then my hot glue for anything a bit bulky (including the blingy trim that I use). I hope this helps x
