So happy that you pointed out about wearing heavier fragrances during the warmer weather. I always felt that reviewers have generally made that assertion that darker fragrances should be worn during the colder weather. Not only do I think you can wear what you want in any season, but also wish reviewers stop the insinuation darker fragrances can't be used all year round. The fragrances that don't have good longevity and projection should be used in the warmer weather with the heat helping it.
Agree 💯 I find interlude needs the heat down here in Texas to fully bloom, I do not like it in winter. I find the same with Armani Oud Royal, and Bvlgari Falkar: the oil warm up and realize their full potential👌🏻
Totally agree with the statement about a lot of these middle eastern fragrances being intended for the dry desert heat: I only wear Interlude in summer, in winter the amber and Oud is not heated enough and you get a much much stronger bergamot. In the Texas heat, Interlude blooms and the incense and Oud rise. I also find the same situation with Bvlgari Le Gemme Falkar, the heat drives the Oud and incense to beautiful effect. 👌🏻

Yeah I wonder about that as well. These heavy Ouds are made in hot countries to wear in hot weather. And here people say "uh oh only in winter wearable". I wear what I like, no matter whats the weather.
Interlude Black Iris was a Christmas gift from my wife last year. My first ever niche fragrance. I bought a sample of it and thought I have never smelled anything like it. I had to have a full bottle. It’s a fantastic fragrance. It is a beast so I advise against spraying on your clothing. It started me down the niche rabbit hole. Chris, I’m curious if you’ve experienced Amouage Fate Man? It doesn’t get much love from the fragrance community, but it is one of my favorite fragrances to date.
I just got a bottle of Interlude Man in the post today, my first experience with Amouage. I love it already. I’m sitting here smelling my arm constantly! Looking forward to this first impressions. Only sorry I missed the live stream.
Interlude is a gorgeously complex powerhouse of a scent. Congrats on your purchase.
Great impressions Chris! I was expecting it to be more similar too. But those bottle colours are simply fabuloso. That's a special italian kind of fabulous.

Great video Chris! Only Amouage fragrance I’ve ever smelled is Beach Hut Man. I really liked it. I was always intrigued by Interlude Man, because of the incense and myrrh. OG is worth of something coz he's badass. Black Iris and 53 is like designer took Interlude and make it for their costumers.
Performance on both not even close to OG. Longevity is ok but projection is moderate. 53 is even little sweet, doesn't have nothing bold, it's just nice.
I just got a 9ml of this an I do have say it's nice but I'm only going to need a couple of sprays of it because it's strong

i actually have gotten compliments from interlude man , its not something that is usual but if you wear it right it can happen , i am very nervous about black iris , i don't like that amouage is doing flankers and i love interlude as is, i really hope christper Chong leaving doesn't end up like TF leaving Gucci ,it would be such a shame
but i am 20 bottles deep from this house , its my favourite house , i need to get it to keep the collection complete, i wont be in a hurry to get it though

Yeah i got my midnight oud from ebay just £12 for 100ml 🤯 very similar to interlude just not as natural smelling to my nose.
Man bro. You shouldn't have sprayed the interlude first. Shoulda sprayed black iris first cuz interlude overpowers the senses and you wouldn't get the full profile of the black iris

@@M_Ladd man it was forsight for me bruh. I have a few beast modes and one of them is amouage Interlude. Whenever I buy an interlude clone or similar i always spray that one before the interlude. It makes comparison much easier.
I'm from Bury the next town down 👇 from yours Chris. Do you remember the water park back in the 80s, I think it was called splish splash 💦 l lived that place, I'm slightly younger than you so forgive me if you don't know what I'm talking about haha. 👍🏻
As a side comment. I need to get amouge (maybe interlude) as I've already got Parfums de marley layton and diors homme parfum, not that I get much chance to wear both fragrances these days given the cost. I'm not sitting at home doing naff all wearing them that's for sure.

Iris probably fluctuates quickly, more similar to the original in dry down etc then.
It does get closer the Interlude in the dry down
