    Really interesting video, that outside tap tip of winding it on first is a great tip and so obvious. I've always fitted the pipe first 🙃

    Consider warming the pipe first; when it's adequately heated, the solder will flow evenly without requiring a flame. I appreciate the content, though.

    why would you want to drain the hot water for turn mains off your cold will have turned off

      It was just because this property had a hot water tank up higher than I was working, so even though it didn’t have mains water pressurising it, it still had gravity pressure, so in honesty I could of gone looking for a hot water stop tap or isolation valve but I just like to know that all my pipes are empty before I go cutting, (I’ve learned be my own mistakes it’s better to be safe than sorry
