- This is part 8 of a series about an early 1961 Wheel Horse model 401 lawn and garden tractor. In this video I get the steering shaft installed so I can push it around easier. After that I clean the fenders & Tool Box. My normal wire brushing don't get the extra layer of paint off so I have to try something different to expose the original paint. In the end I get the rear part of the tractor put together and looking good.
The plan was to take this tractor apart, clean it and put it back together, fixing what's wrong along the way.
Good to see new videos, keeps me motivated working on my Wheel Horse tractors. Looking forward to the next video!!
Looking good
It is coming along nicely! Love the patina on it so far! Keep up the good work!
I appreciate your video, you do excellent work! Old school!
Awesome job
I like the steel seat this tractor has with spring. Do you know where I could get one of these for my Snapper RER mower ?? Also, have you seen any Penncraft 8 H.P. tractor anywhere ?? Please let me know Sir. Nice looking machine with the spray of WD-40....
There were a few seat springs on eBay this morning, but the seats are harder to find. I find them at farm auctions and tractor show swap meets.
I don't know of any Penncraft tractors currently, my buddy had one and sold it a few years ago.
@@PackratsFabrications Thanks for the information Sir. I cut grass with mine for years. Hope one day I can find me one. Good day to you fella. vf
