Passed today. Excellent course out there!. Also I have done practice tests from skilllcerpro and their detailed explanations were really helpful. I got nearly 80% from their sets in my main exam. that made my exam experience a peice of cake. It's important to be familiar with configuring and deploying VMs, as well as data storage and CosmoDB, as these were key topics in the exam Wishing everyone else pursuing this certification the best of luck!

Love these series! 1 thing that would make it better is reduce the music volume in intermissions, my ears hurt every time they come since the volume is higher than the person speaking. If not just removing intermissions entirely.
Just came at the perfect time! Thank you for providing this resource!
The most nicely done tutorial on AZ-204! I enjoyed!
Thanks, these videos helped me pass az-900 az-104 and also az-305. Now looking working on az-204 and az-400 then maybe az-500.

Andrew's videos are fantastic to get an understanding of everything and then investigate thoroughly what you didn't fully understand.
On my experience, this methodology worked the best to pass the AZ-104 and other certificates.

Azure Tables and Azure Queues are flipped around.
Azure Tables is a NoSQL store and Azure Queues is a messaging store.
Long awaited. Thanks a lot FCC ❣️
Thank you so much for this!
Thank you very much for your effort and time for sharing knowledge. :)
I passed the exam few days ago. I referred some of your content as well. Thanks for providing it for free.
What you did apart from this video?
@@ashutoshrashivadekar3722 followed interactive lessons in microsoft learn and did the free practice tests given by microsoft. The exam syllabus has been updated after this video. Check for the changes.
@@codeschool3964 thanks
Thanks, in two months i take this exam. This video is a great help for me.
Thank you for the great efforts
For section 4:04:00 of the video which resources do you recommend to get deeper into this subject? This particular aspect of deployment encompasses numerous edge cases and capabilities that may go beyond the scope covered in the video.
Thank you for uploading this, just passed az 104 and was planning on starting to study for 204.
Aws
How did it go do you think 104 is needed before 204?
5:07:37 Azure Queue storage is a messaging system and Azure Table Storage is a NoSQL solution. (Seems it got interchanged in the PPT slide)
Thank you much Andrew
Truly awesome!
Thanks Andrew and FCC! 🖖🏻
FYI:
You now have to create access control before creating a key in Azure Key Vault.
Beautiful course
So there ya go!
I just cleared the exam, your video really helped me a lot ❤ thanks for all your effort
Did you use only this video to study or? I am planning to pass it in month or 2
@@Milic97sell this video, and read some dumps, without watching this video you cant understand or remember the dump
@@Sornot Since you did the cert just a month back as per ur comment, can you please brief about the type of questions you got and how much of the questions you found from the various dumps?? How many questions were scenario based and how many were direct questions?
Your answer would be very helpful. Thanks

Thi is dope!...Thanks guys
Watched this course and took my exam last week and passed. Very good course to get started but do not depend on it alone
can you please tell me the resources that you used to clear the exam
Hi bro, can you please tell if this course is enough to clear exam. I have less time to clear concept and clear it.
Started preparing 3 months ago, starting with your lectures.
Passed today with a score of 700. Narrow escape indeed! 😅
Very close call but congrats!
is it that difficult to pass?
@@ahsan7163 it is more difficult than it seems. The questions are asked in a way to check for a deep understanding and hands-on experience of the exam topics. Although you can use microsoft learn on th exam, it almost never helps.
@tamassky How did you prepare?

Hey Andrew,
Thanks a lot for this course. I passed the exam today with 810/1000!
Hello, Can you give me hint that this video is enough to pass the exam or i need to go through the document too?
@@saketmalviya9152 its not enough you will need to go through dumps and documentation as well. But its a good start to cover everything
@@Parth3399 thank you for your guidance
@@Parth3399 Did it required having hands-on experience with azure? Or theory is enough?
@@FanOfJethalal If you have its an added advantage because you will know the answer from your experience. But if not then you have to go through the theory and apply it in the scenario based questions
The MS AZ-204 exam guide mentions that the exam code can be in C# or Python. What level of proficiency does one need in one of these languages? I only have beginner level proficiency in Python and am currently learning javascript.

Thaanks mam you r superb👍👍👍
This is the most helpful video for the exam. I passed the exam last March 12, 2024. The general knowledge and hands on demonstration is really useful.
Hi I am also preparing for this exam. Can you suggest how to approach the preparation? How much time it takes to prepare for this. Also what to expect in exam?
@@cslol351 It took me 80 hours, 14 days to prepare, but you could study for more hours. Tip is don't focus on dumps since I only saw around 5-7 questions out of 55 from the dumps of 900 questions. Good thing I watched this video and followed the hands on for around 3 times. I only had 1 case study and some said they had 2. Overall exam is passable if you know the core concepts. You could use the Microsoft Learn so familiarizing with navigating the ms learn would help in saving time. I only used the MS Learn for around 5 items I was not certain with. I have around 3 months experience with c# and azure, and 5 years as a developer in node, php, react. Last tip is do the Challenge in the MS Learn you'll get a 50% discount, I learned about this late and paid in full
@@cslol351 watch this video 3-5 times and follow step by step. Take note of the information by pen and paper for muscle memory. Do the Microsoft Learn Challenge for AZ-204 to get the 50% discount voucher, I knew about the discount late so I paid in full. Preparation time varies per person depending on your memorization skills and developer skills, I prepared for 80 hours (14 days), but I've been a developer for 5 years already. I only had 3 months experience with .Net C# and Azure. I watched this video 3 times, and read some discussions at examtopics dumps, the dumps are not that helpful only had around 5 items similar, reading the discussions part and documentation helped me understand more of the different services. Expect that you could use the MS Learn on the side, practice navigating the documentations to save time. Even if you have MS learn you will not have enough time if you did not study the core concepts since exam is about knowing what specific service to use for different situations. Again, this video is the most helpful for me.
Can anyone suggest a project where we can do all of this as a practice? (Specially for AZ-204)
As of April 28, 2023 Provision virtual machines (VMs) is no longer a part of the exam
good one thanks
00:13:14 - Azure Functions
00:15:00 - Anatomy of a Function
In Azure functions, what do you mean by "Azure apps are best suited for small apps have events that can work independently of other websites"? I couldn't understand the second line involving independent events. Any insights? Thanks!
He may be referring to microservices, in which smaller applications will trigger events to either a central application or a messaging queue. Other apps that are subscribed to or listening for that event can execute code or functions upon the event being triggered. A non-azure version of a messaging queue would be RabbitMQ, and if using a central application to manage events it I would recommend researching publisher-subscriber (pub/sub) models for software development.
I'm trying to buy the coruse on exampro but it's not letting me. I didn't check out the first time with the course in my cart because I wanted to double check that I chose the correct one, but now everytime i try to add it to my cart and log in i just end up at the app without being able to buy the course
thank you
Thank you FreeCodeCamp.
Is this course still relevant or the exam content have changed? I have my exam soon and don't feel ready
Great job ExamPro & FreeCodeCamp. Thanks a lot for this very focused content !
Here is my studying strategy (Module by module) :
Get the fundamentals of the module from this video.
Then pass the course of the chapter from MS learn page with more detailed notes.
Make an hands-on for the module. Focus on variable use case scenarios while designing demonstrations.
Take a quiz for the chapter from MS learn or/and any other place where you find.
After quizes, notes and practices are done for all modules, come back to recaps and cheatsheets.
When the total recap is finished, take exam practices.
Hope I will be passing the exam in next week. Hope the best for you too lads.
ps. Taking MS learn courses and hands-on demonstrations are necessary because the video is already 2 years old and some features & topics are deprecated. Please let me know if anyone knows the actual content exists in ExamPro.
@OzanAck do keep posting your updates on here, I do plan to take the exam myself and am currently studying along with this course, looking forward to them. All the best for your exam.
At 5:07:41 (Azure Storage Accounts), Azure Queues and Azure Tables definitions are flip flopped. Queues === messaging store.
Thanks👍
2:37:00 imperative vs declarative is a bit misleading, declarative is you define the final state and imperative is you define the steps to get there, your definition kind of the other way around. right? The service never guesses what you want with imperative, it's probably filling in more blanks with declarative.
Hi, Is there any difference between UA-cam course and exampro?
5:07:40 Description for Azure Queues and Azure Tables seemed to have mixed up.
Is going well for the moment, is it me or the virtual machine sections are in the wrong order?
hi, i want to watch this vid for a college project not for the certification. do i need to watch another course before starting this one? something like an intro for cloud computing or virtualization?
Could be useful to watch the AZ900 video.
What about "Functions follow along" section at 57:41. It appears to be missing
Where can I download its slides?
Hey, I am going to start studying for az204 now. Do you think its still updated for az204? Since this came out an year back. Thanks in advance
Awesome! Thank you! Is there any way that we can download the slides of this course!
Can we do something about the loud intermissions after each topic.
I don't think anyone wants insecure, unreliable, etc. with their serverless environment. But we live in a world of marketing first so apparently it needs to be said. I would describe serverless simply as you don't need to know or think about the servers. Just deploy your code and it works.
at 5:07:02, description or purpose of azure table is wrong. description/purpose mentioned is for azure queues
is this course for beginners to actually learn azure 204 or it is just a exam prep course ?

Can i do az-204 directly without doing any other certification first? i do have very little experience in deploying web apps to azure app service, some experience with CI/CD azure devops. Will be really grateful for help in this regard.

It doesn't have prerequisite. You can directly take az-204 exam

Looking at your suggested road map (4:28). I'm a full stack developer for 3 years, and I have been working with Azure and Azure DevOps for the past 3-4 months. I do feel quite confident that I could pass AZ-204 and then move to AZ-400. I'm not sure if that would be a good idea or if it's doable? I'm looking at it from a cost-effective perspective rather than paying to write all those exams, which is my concern.
Your asking if you can skip az204 and go straight for az400 which is an expert level cert... no one would advise that.
i think u need try the az-104 before az-400 bro
Thinking you know enough about Azure for an expert certification after 3-4 months working with Azure just proves you do not understand the complexity of Azure.
how can i get the free course material?
I passed it with this course

Hello, Is this video still a good source for studying? The exam has changed a bit. Instead of the 180 minutes exam time it is now 100 minutes. The general topics they are testing are still the same but the exam was last updated on 01/22/2024. I don't see any updates/corrections/additions in the description of this video or in the comments.

You should be good to go. Ut's a hard exam, you will need to study a lot of material regardless. Questions can turn ver y very specific I to some subjects
