Fun Fact: Anthony Alford was actually a 4 STAR QB out of Petal High School and played at Southern Miss and Ole Miss. He went to play baseball after his football days were over. He was a phenom in both sports back in the day.

@@Bengal you could make a Yankees franchise and many would enjoy it. If franchise isn’t your thing in the show however, no reason to pursue it. I happen to be a pirates fan so this franchise could be very exciting for me but I watch almost of all of the vids on both channels because you’re entertaining. You’ve created such a great community that you can make almost anything

I'm still playing my MLB 19 franchise with the Pirates. I'm currently in the year 2035, playing almost every single game. I think I'm gonna finally move on to MLB 22 this year.

As for recommendations probably go for more realistic trades. For example when the Yankees traded for Donaldson and IKF there have been rumors of Gleyber being traded. In addition maybe someone like Frankie Montas from the A’s since they are looking to salary dump.
This series is my first exposure to the MLB and it’s literally teaching me everything
You should turn the pitching up to legend. I put mine on legend and it’s sometimes still pretty easy. Should make the series more entertaining and realistic I hope.
I would consider turning off pinpoint pitching if you want pitchers to perform accurately. It’s really easy to dominate against the cpu with pinpoint with even low attribute pitchers (like Roansy did in this vid)
What would be the most accurate pitching setting be then? I like to play accurately to a players skills in franchise so I would love to know.
@@CMS_-bw2wu I am super late but I would assume classic pitching mode is most accurate because it relies directly on the pitchers stats

I am also doing a rebuild of the Pirates. Oneil Cruz won NL ROY in ‘22 and already have them 14th overall after one offseason. Drafted a 5’8” 173 lbs CF prospect with the no.4 pick with big time power and signed Aaron Nola, Joey Gallo, Josh Bell, and Mitch Haniger in free agency. Also traded to bring Austin Meadows back during the ‘22 season. Also skinny Conner Scott was already an invite to 2023 spring training.

Best advise for scouting. 2 Days per type (RH VEL, COM, CLUTCH ETC ETC ETC). Then 3 days per indivdual ones. You should have 20/25 fully scouted by Draft day. I normally focus on those that MLB ready closer to current season

Quick counts on for the Franchise would be cool, that’s what I use. It shortens the time per game a bit and would keep the series interesting, allowing you to play more games.

looking forward to this, man. as a pirates fan I appreciate the knowledge you seem to have of the team. I was not super stoked how they rated a lot of the prospects though. Castillo raked in spring training and is probably winning the 2b job. Smith-Ngigba and Mitchell were way under rated. Peguero and Gonzalez is your future middle inclined. pirates have purposely brought them up together and are best of friends. Mason Martin should probably be at least a mid C rating at 1b. potential future 1b. massive power, high strikeouts. and Endy Rodriguez is the #6 prospect and just outside MLB top 100. Florida state league MVP and capable of catcher, 1b, lf, rf, and is being worked in at 2b some this year.
Cruz is going to end up as either a DH or corner outfielder. that is how/why Peguero is future ss.
also Matt fatizier was the Pirates prospect of the year 300 avg and a 30/30 season. really broke out last year.

As a pirates fan…Park, Castillo, and Martin deserve better potential grades. They all have potential to be decent MLB players. But I’m super excited for this franchise series, really looking forward to it.
Smith Njigba and Suwinski deserve better potential grades too. Even if you bump them up to a B or C grade, I don’t think any of them deserve D grades.
