At this point, desbug has endured pain, suffering, and probably has played every level over 200 times. And at this point I can’t count how many times he has felt pain and suffering

The Acorn powerup is indeed called the Super Acorn.
If you pick "Let's start over" in multiplayer VERSUS, the time won't reset, but it does in Co-op. Hopefully this helps.

A good way to end a night
I agree with Desbug on the multiplayer I hate when I get a Speedrun level and it has a spring outside a pipe there’s then literally no way to beat the level because it blocks the path

I'm happy to see that this game is still not dead, and there are a lot of people uploading & playing it. Since I also had some levels in the first game I really like watching SMM2 vids. :)
We need to get Nintendo to fix their bad Wi-Fi connection. As you said, every other gaming company nailed it 15 years ago, so how Nintendo internet is so slow and laggy is beyond me.

in co-op, when you reset, the timer also resets. once the timer goes out in versus, you cannot try again.thats why you cannot reset and keep the timer in versus.

The solution to not get impossible levels in multiplayer is an easy fix! When clearing a level to upload, you have to choose tags FIRST! And if you do *NOT* pick the _'Single Player'_ -tag, Toads are placed everywhere in the level so it behaves like you are playing multiplayer when clearing it. Super easy solve!!!
And to avoid levels like 01:45, since killed enemies don't re-spawn, you have to clear the level *TWICE!* And the 2nd clear will remember what you used from the first clear, and will not re-spawn again. A little annoying, but solves it!!!
But u can change the tags even if u didn't make the level
@@kirby25_ Yes. But if you choose the 'Single Player'-tag, you can NEVER remove it (it's locked), and reverse if you don't choose it, you can't add it after the upload.
For me, I would want 'Single Player' and 'Multiplayer' as the THIRD tag, which you MUST choose and can never be changed after uploading. It would be SO much better🥰
They should also work on their huge lag-issue. I mean, we ARE paying for the sh*t, lol.

The single player tag stops courses from being a choice in multiplayer matches.
Wait, really? If so, it's incredibly stupid that that counts toward the tag limit, which is 2 tags.
I don't know if there's anything to be learned about the algorithm from this or not but the recommendations at the side put "The Ultimate Item Experience" & "you can't escape" back to back & they have basically the same thumbnail but with different characters riding different things in different games & neither of them are Mario Maker.

Hey Desbug, that one time several years ago when you tried to spin jump on a Thwomp but couldn't, it's because your foot was grazing the edge of the ground and it was cancelling your spin jump. Haven't seen anyone else point this out so I just wanted to say it.

My bs theory about nintendo's netcode is that they want everyone to be included even the very bad connections so it drags the whole thing down
It's because it's peer to peer, a.k.a. "paying Nintendo to let you use your own internet service provider that you were already paying for". In other words, it's you provider against the other players' providers. Nintendo chooses not to be part of the equation but still charges money for it.

I feel like the only problem with super expert on co-op is that the creator is creating a level meant to be hard, not worrying about if its possible with multiple players, screwing over players who try to do so
Also the level that you went back to complete solo was marked "multiplayer versus" for some reason
Putting aside that last part where you totally can blame the level creator, you can't blame level creators for not saying "Well, this level wouldn't work in a quarterbaked side mode that Nintendo put no care into so I guess I just won't make it." Most levels wouldn't get made.
@@D_YellowMadness I'm not blaming the level creators for anything (other than if they lie about it like the one guy did), trust me, I've made more levels that were made to challenge the player in single player than to compete or cooperate with another in multiplayer
