Today we are kicking off our Scotland Road trip series! This was a 10 day trip, and it wasn't long enough! We got to see so much and yet so little! We flew into Glasgow, Scotland and then headed to Edinburgh, Scotland. We spent about 2.5 days in Edinburgh, mostly because of the weather.

I was stationed in the Navy in London so when my Dad and brother came over to visit we went to Scotland to see the Highland Games in Edinburgh Castle. At some point we took a bus to a small town where my Dad worked as a young lad and somehow befriended a German POW who fixed his watch. You could see my Dad going back in his memories which still gets me misty! Glad we went.

My daughter lives in Scotland, in Dundee. I’m heading back for my second trip in 6 days!! Can’t wait. When we were in Edinburgh in September, it was hot and sunny. I had only packed pants and long sleeves. I was dying. Thankfully our hotel room had air conditioning which is rare. We stayed at the Virgin Hotel on Victoria St. It was a great location and room!
Oh that’s cool! We would have loved some extra sun and heat. We remember walking by the Virgin Hotel on Victoria St. Definitely a great location!

Unfortunately, you arrived in time for a storm. Rain, yes we get a lot of that in the spring, but that wind isn't normal.
