I was at this game and the one the week before, where Ken Johnson and Dieter Brock both suffered season-ending injuries, and Terry Luck took a hit that left hi upper body bruised so badly that he was unable to pass. Without a healthy quarterback, the Blue Bombers were beaten in this one before they ever took the field. Harry Knight would not ordinarily have played, but they didn't have anyone else, and he didn't play another game after this. I survived the game, but froze on the walk back to the car.
@@brianlondon5967 Im working to get a copy of both but the person who has the copy bought it with someonef from CBC and theres so ageement saying that cannt sell it..im working on it though
Faded it appears, the turf seen here was installed for the 1975 season. It would be removed after the 1983 season for the next version that would be in place until the spring of 1999.
I’d love to see that too. 79 Western Semi final was Lions at Calgary. I had tickets but had to go to a funeral that Saturday afternoon. Lions had beaten Calgary that year so we were expecting a close game. It wasn’t.
These uniforms are straight fire 🔥
Is that John Hufnagel?
No Brock, no Luck, and Knight got lanced which added up to no hope.

I've never seen a #70 catching passes ! Is that just a CFL thing in the 70's ?
@@bryanburnap4537 even into the 90s you saw some receivers that had those numbers.
Whoever sang our anthem screwed it up good.
I would love to see the 1978 West Final and 79 West semi final vs BC.
those are two im looking for right now
@@CalgaryStampedersClassics Thanks. I’ve never even seen a single high light from either of those games.

@@CalgaryStampedersClassics Awesome. I’d also love to see Calgary at BC from the summer of 85.
Those were both CTV telecasts, and existing tapes of their games are harder to find.
Where is numbers on the field ?

I was able to watch the game on TV, at least Gotta got them this far. The era of Hufnagel, Juntanen, and the other guy with a K starting his name.
I’ve never seen a single play from the 78 Western Final or the 79 West semi final vs BC
how about some SK vs Edm western finals from early 1970s ? CFL 1970s was the best. Great football and into the 80s
they have to be out there in you tube land, but im keeping this page strictly red and white :)
I’d love to see that too.
