Amazing Video. Power Query.....I love it!!! In many situations I use Power Query to manipulate the data before I import in the data Modelling. Thanks John

Yes I love power query too. Use it virtually every day and it's best essential for data modelling in my mind. Glad you liked the video John. Thanks for supporting my channel so well 👍 John

Thanks John. I use power query frequently too. Perhaps the update of 2025 data could be done via folder?

Yes, that is probably a better way to do it in practice really. I wanted this video to be an introduction to power query so kept it to single file uploads. Good idea for another video though! Thanks for the comment 👍 John

Good lesson, but a problem with the file "UK Orders to 2025.txt". While it seems like it's a duplicate of the "UK Orders 2024.txt" file because NONE of the dates are for 2025 - they're all for 2024, and simply changing all the .2024 to .2025 might have fixed it, 2024 is a leap year, so had February 29th as an order date which causes an error and those rows have to be either changed or deleted.
Also, the date format is UK, so the date had to be changed on its own with "Using locale", which would have been useful to show.

Good point about the UK date format which I'll bear in mind for future videos. I'll also look into the 2025 text file issue as it definitely should have 2025 dates in. Perhaps I supplied the wrong file?? if so I'll correct and get back to you.
Thanks for your feedback, very helpful 👍 John

I've had a look at the 2025 file (downloaded from the link in the description) and it is fine. It contains the 2024 and 205 orders but it is a very long file so 2025 orders don't start until around row 5000. Power query defaults to only showing the first 1000 rows so it may appear to be missing 2025 but it does in fact include it and will should work correctly 👍 John
