I have no clue why this appeared on my recommended almost 3 months past the upload date, but I lived in South Case Hall my freshman year too! It was a lot of fun, especially if you live there for James Madison, as a lot of your peers live in that same building! If she's looking for things to do, I highly recommend joining some student orgs and meeting new people. Case Hall and South Neighborhood seems to have something going on all the time, and it's great to be able to meet new people. I'd also recommend going to Club Spartan on the 3rd floor of Case Hall. It's a great study area and there are sometimes amazing presentations that go on in that room! Also, having lived in dorms with both suite style bathrooms and communal bathrooms, I find the communal ones better because you don't have to purchase the cleaning supplies and they're cleaned daily for you! I also don't miss having to create a shower schedule between my roommates and my suitemates haha.
Three months in she is loving life at JMC and South Case. Can't wait to have her home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Just found your video and I am welling up with tears watching. I have a Fall 2025 admit and I am both dreading and looking forward to this day. I also felt your comment about UofM as we are big wolverine fans in our house too -- but my daughter is going into Education so MSU is the place for her. I fully support it -- just not on game day ;-)
Too cool! Congrats on the commit. I think we underestimate the stress and strain this places on parents and our students! It's great when it finally works its way out. I just picked up my baby girl today for Christmas break and I'm looking forward to 4 weeks with her!
@@theocdtraveler My son moved last Saturday and that went pretty well. Except for me and my son trying to reloft the beds. My husband couldn't make it so it was just my son and I so it was a comedy of errors. lol. One tip I learned but after the fact was get another fan and set it up FIRST. But all in all it went pretty well and he loves it so far.
I graduated from MSU last year, and this video brought back so many funny memories. You mentioned communal bathrooms. One Saturday night at like 11pm. I went to go pee, and there was some kid passed out laying in a stall with his own puke all over him. 😂 I was in gilchrist hall. Believe it or not, it was a band kid. That’s college for ya! Lmao good video!
As someone who lives in East Lansing (close to MSU) I can tell you MSU is such a great school! Hope all goes well
Thank you! Thoroughly impressed so far!

McDonalds app is key! Dining looks great at MSU
So far...so good! She loves it and their dining plan allows them to go to various shops and restaurants so that's a bonus!
Handsome freshman 😆
I agree but I sure am biased! Thank you for watching and commenting!!
Looks like the Marine Corps barracks
Haha! My Army barracks were a little more modern and had A/C… these don’t!
