Thank you for your reaction I cry after you notice her hand movements yes she's been through alot when she was young. She heal so many people like me with her words,with her singing and meaningful lyrics that she wrote. one thing me as a fan of her afraid is there's no one to heal her, beside her. she's the kindest girl in industry like IU.

I find your observation of her hands very interesting. Like IU, Sejeong faced very difficult times during her childhood and youth, but with enormous willpower, a lot of work and sacrifice she pulled through. I think that these similar experiences allow both of them to understand and interpret each other very well despite not knowing each other. I see in her right hand that will to fight and overcome all the difficulties that the song evokes and in her left hand an open and loving heart that is not overshadowed by difficulties but is the force that drives her.

I'm glad someone finally reacted to this. Nice job! BTW I'm with ya on the fist and open hand and how and when that varies. I've watched a lot of singers in recording sessions, and have always found fascinating how some of them do various body language when emoting or grooving, some intentional and some subconscious.

It was funny in the IU interview show Sejeong would say how she always listened to IU as a child, but she's only 4 year younger. I guess when IU debuted at 15 Sejeong would have been eleven.

BTW re the fist/open hand thing: I've seen a ton of her videos. vlogs, etc. and this "My Sea" vid had been the only example of her doing that that I'd seen ... until now! 🙂 She does it in the 1st 30 seconds of her new VLOG entry. It seems to be something she sometimes-not always-does when singing in a recording or rehearsal studio.
