I know this one was two years ago, but I'm just going to reply to this so that it's virtually bookmarked for me, because that's accurate and hillarious.
Who this man could be I just don't know *strides casually in front of him* Who this man could be I just don't know *makes extra effort to make eye contact* WHO THIS MAN COULD BE I JUST DON'T KNOW! *actually gestures to himself*
I had a fucking crush on him when I was way too young. The VHs tape was worn out. Definitely still have an attraction to him and this movie/soundtrack 20 yrs ago. Donny Osmond...😍 Only transparency here 😂
I remember doing this in my school play about 8/9 years ago. I didn't have a role as I was only in year 4 and only year 6's got parts (as was custom in my primary school). The rest are in the ensemble. My class was assigned this song and I think it was one of my favourites along with Potiphar.
My mom saw this live show like 5 times if not more. She loved Donny Osmond. One year she took me, I was 9 or so. Somehow she got 3rd center tickets. It was the first live show I ever saw and it was amazing.
It is such an irreverent telling of the story of Joseph, but it is also so much fun and I can't help loving it. I have seen it countless times and sang the song with them. Thank you for uploading it, although I have it recorded in full.
I was suggesting that it might be weird for his grands to come and see this. It’s a good thing I’m not related, it would be beyond creepy to admire my grandpa the way I do Donny!
[JOSEPH] Seven years of bumper crops are on their way Years of plenty, endless wheat and tons of hay Your farms will boom, there won't be room To store the surplus food you grow After that, the future doesn't look so bright Egypt's luck will change completely overnight And famine's hand will stalk the land With food an all-time low Noble king, there is no doubt What your dreams are all about All these things you saw in your pajamas Are a long-range forecast for your farmers And I'm sure it's crossed your mind What it is you have to find Find a man to lead you through the famine With a flair for economic planning But who this man could be I just don't know Who this man could be I just don't know Who this man could be I just don't know!

This show is framed as teachers putting on a show for their school. I have a headcanon that the "Things you saw in your pajamas" line is an inside joke at "Mr. Torti's" expense, rather than Joseph making a joke at Pharoahs expense.
Joseph: All these things you saw in your Pharaoh be like: oh yeah cool whatever tell me more Joseph: ..pajamas Pharaoh: *stares at him in a confused and offended way*
IRL Joseph was a cryptoju who oversaw stockpiling of farmers' excess wheat; then, when famine struck the Citizens of Egypt were required to give up their land in exchange for their own wheat. Kind of like how the federal reserve works (we have to pay interest on our own money). Then Joseph's tribe moved in and ruled Egypt for over 100 years until they were thrown out by angry Egyptians (the Exodus).
Joseph: All these things you saw...
Pharaoh: Huh yeah cool I just saw into the future.
Joseph: In your pyjamas.
Pharaoh: BRUH.
I know this one was two years ago, but I'm just going to reply to this so that it's virtually bookmarked for me, because that's accurate and hillarious.
He's like STAP you're embarrassing me
@@mbunnyj7051 3 years ago now
But what ARE the pharaoh’s pyjamas, that’s the important question
😂
“Who this man could be? I just don’t know!”
Translated: PICK ME! PICK ME!
PFFFT IKR AT THE END OF THE SONG HE POINTS TO HIMSELF WHEN HE SAYS THAT 😂😂
Yeah, need Pharaoh to think it was his idea lol
Who this man could be I just don't know *strides casually in front of him*
Who this man could be I just don't know *makes extra effort to make eye contact*
WHO THIS MAN COULD BE I JUST DON'T KNOW! *actually gestures to himself*
When I was little and watched this on VHS over and over, I didn't realize the sarcasm and thought he genuinely didn't know 😂
JOE!
@@lillymsf5946 OHH!
Donny Osmand is at least 40 years old here and he looks like he’s in his late 20’s like tf?
Maybe late 30s.. he definitely doesn't look to be in his 20s haha 😅
He was 41. Looks great
I had a fucking crush on him when I was way too young. The VHs tape was worn out. Definitely still have an attraction to him and this movie/soundtrack 20 yrs ago. Donny Osmond...😍 Only transparency here 😂
Is anyone going to acknowledge how freakin awesome this guy playing Elvis Pharaoh is?! XD
That's Robert Torti; he'd later play the title characters' dad in Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
@@ryanschwartz4959 he also played Jesus in the movie musical Reefer Madness!!
Awww I love how fit Donny Osmond looks in this! He’s so talented xx
So do I!
Neri Ashley Cabajar ooooop
He is always fit and keeps his trademark smile every day

Joseph: All the things you saw in your pajamas...
Pharoah: My WHAT!?!?
Joseph: All These Thjngs You Saw In Your Pyjamas
Pharaoh: *Turn to Joseph* WHAT ARE PYJAMAS!!!???
To be honest, I always thought his expression meant "Whoa, kid!".
Maybe they did wear PJ's then.
For anyone that didn't realise, the man that plays the Pharoh is also the man that plays Zack and Cody's dad (I can't remember the actor's name)
Nick C Robert Torti
Omg I didn’t know that’s so cool. I also didn’t know that Donny is Li Shang’s singing voice in Mulan
Robert Torti, he also played Greaseball in the Broadway version of Starlight Express
@@redtyrant24 And also got a Tony nomination for that role, too
Joseph: All those things you saw in your pajamas.
Pharaoh: Not cool!!
Well, he doesn't like being told that, but holds his tongue.
Joseph:all those things you saw in your pyjamas
Pharo: SHUSH YOURE EMBARRASSING MEH m8 >:|
UMMMM WHEN DID DONNY OSMOND LOOK SO HOT?!
2Bdiscovered I don't know just go on Facebook and see him

Agreed.
Donny Osmond is so strong as well if you have seen his muscles 💪 in the video xx

Did anyone else notice that those are the brothers??
They're also in Potiphar, go go Joseph, and pretty much every song
They look so different without hair or beards.
I think they appear as ensemble members in all the numbers.
Yea i spotted Asher a mile away
:O oh my God no. I've been watching this for years and never even thought

Yeah it’s one of those stories where it’s like 6/10 on accuracy but everything else makes up for it lmao
Imagine what it’s like to google your grandpa and find him on UA-cam in a loincloth and looking fine.
Who's your grandfather??
I was suggesting that it might be weird for his grands to come and see this. It’s a good thing I’m not related, it would be beyond creepy to admire my grandpa the way I do Donny!
I love how there are so many likes but so few responses 🤣
😂 Donny is one FINE looking MoFo!😍😍✨❣️
i love the look on pharaoh's face when joseph says "all these things you saw in your pajamas" !!!!!!!!!!😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆
Donny Osmond was so Amazing…and not bad to look at either!
[JOSEPH]
Seven years of bumper crops are on their way
Years of plenty, endless wheat and tons of hay
Your farms will boom, there won't be room
To store the surplus food you grow
After that, the future doesn't look so bright
Egypt's luck will change completely overnight
And famine's hand will stalk the land
With food an all-time low
Noble king, there is no doubt
What your dreams are all about
All these things you saw in your pajamas
Are a long-range forecast for your farmers
And I'm sure it's crossed your mind
What it is you have to find
Find a man to lead you through the famine
With a flair for economic planning
But who this man could be I just don't know
Who this man could be I just don't know
Who this man could be I just don't know!
Had such a crush on Donny, when i first saw this on VHS.
Theres about 3 songs i love from joseph. Ones that give u a kick

This song is so underrated
Totally not fair. He looks wonderful. Not aging much at all
… these things you saw in your pajamas…
Pharaoh: 😮: …DUDE… getting a little personal there…
love this song

Damn that's some deep lore, i hope it's canon
I’m in this scene for my community theater
Seeing this tonight
His facial expressions are too funny..
The giant head went a bit derpy at the very beginning
Radagast Yeah I saw it too
Radagast it’s just a funny effect.
Joseph: All these things you saw in your
Pharaoh be like: oh yeah cool whatever tell me more
Joseph: ..pajamas
Pharaoh: *stares at him in a confused and offended way*
He looks really good in long hair
I feel this show was the first canonical appearance of Avatar's Na'vi.
Yuh get into it
I love Donny but the man who played this part was so good.
Donny
I love it it
Was 00:47 for me 00:48
Does anybody else think that the Pharaoh is a hunk?
Me! 🙋♀️
Robert Torti looks like Elvis in this a little bit. Imagine if Elvis was alive 1999, him playing pharaoh?
I know right! Elvis was actually a pretty decent actor and dancer in his own right too.
Look at Donny's body that is a work of art !
Wow!
"You're a hot dog, but you'd better not try to hurt him, Josephim..."
Good video
I’m doing this play at my school and I’m pharaoh
OceanLPS All these things you saw in your pyjamas

Well done honey it was a while ago now but I’m doing it as well
I'm not attracted to me, but when Joseph sings "what it is you have to fine", wow is cute
Pick Joseph, dammit!
He is so funny donny
Hi im joseph in my show
Epic
Good for you !!!
I was waiting for the… JOE!
😅 what the Phaoroh saw while in his pajamas.
His brothers called him Joe for short?
probably not, but this is a more modern take on the story of joseph, they probably wrote it in for lyric purposes.
“……… Joe!”
“Ohhhh…”
Hmm I love how they make pharaoh look like Elvis or maybe Elvis is a pharaoh impersonator?!
Who else is here from this being their school show
Who is still watching in 2019 11 aplril
Who still watching it 1973 rn

The Pharoah is Elvis.
Who this could be?
Hahaha
Number 2? Like POO?💩
