Oh Erin! I love this book. It has been published many times since 1890. It has had several different illustrators, the first being Jessie Wilcox Smith. She is my favorite artists of the Victorian Era. I believe your book is the Tasha Tudor version and she was also such an amazing artist too. Loved this video so much!💖📖
Please please PLEASE do a video where you read spooky stories!! Idgaf if it’s not Halloween! It’s such a nice balance between relaxing and creepy and intriguing, and obviously you have the PERFECT voice for reading stories.
I had this book when I was little!! I LOVED the pictures in it too. The poems in it have beautiful rhythms which make it so relaxing to listen to. Please do more of this book, and other storybooks as well!
I don’t often comment on videos but i wanna say that there is a lot going on in my world (moving house, changing schools etc) and your videos have really helped me deal with the stress. Your amazing and helping so many people ❤️
already played this video 3rd time today, Erin! could you make this as a series please? your voice are so soothing it makes me jump into my dream so easily tonight🥰
I'm so glad, o found you in some point of my life. Right now it is war in Ukraine and your videos it is the only thing that calm down my anxiety and help me to sleep at least a bit between air raids.💔
I'm amazed that I looked all over youtube and there's no videos of someone simply sitting there and reading a story from a book. This saved me from another sleepless night last night and I'm grateful. 🙂
This is perhaps the only video I've ever watched where the description of the images is just as fluid and lyrical as the poems that are read. It's so impressive to hear such beautiful description that flows so easily and evenly from the speaker. That smoothness of speech makes the tingling last the whole time; there are no breaks or slow spots. Absolutely phenomenal, Erin. Thank you.💜
I’m watching this with my 2 month old son sleeping in my arms, who I happened to name Edgar and call Eddie. ❤ I love that you actually know how to do soft spoken asmr! Some artists do whispering and call it soft spoken. Drives me nuts lol. You have a very sweet voice. New sub 😊
Ok slightly off topic but I’m literally on the verge of tears at how adorable it is that all dogs understand the concept of NAMES and they KNOW THEIR OWN NAME LIKE WTF THAT IS SO FREAKING CUTE LIKE EDDIE _KNOWS_ HE IS “EDDIE” AND MY DOG BONNIE _KNOWS_ SHE IS “BONNIE” AND I SWEAR IM GOING TO ✨WEEP✨
Definitely always happy to see book/reading videos. I like the sounds of brushing pages, your reading voice, hearing you describe the pictures when it's illustrated.... it's a win, win, win for me. :)
Thank you so much! Hearing these stories I felt like a little kid again, with all the magic in the world seeming possible and wonderful again. I’d love it if you read more stories!
Love this series of book reading so much! It’s so relaxing~ Also I love your hair style and makeup in this video so much! So effortless but so comfortable to see.
Oh my goodness Im so grateful you posted today!! I got sick and I want to sleep early so I won’t be miserable for longer but I can’t fall asleep, this will definitely help ❤
I refuse to believe that Eddie is not a stuffed animal come to life. That pupper looks like they'd be incredibly calming to just gently pet while they nap.
This is one of my favorite videos ❤ Would you consider creating a series of you reading bedtime stories? They help me and my younger nephews fall asleep
11year old me: No Mom, I don't want you to read me bedtime stories anymore, God 22 year old me: listening to some stranger reading me bedtime stories because my mom is not willing to read them over the Phone.
I have never made it to the end of this one. I decided to listen during the day and you nearly put me to sleep. But that being said, I love listening to people read stories and I would adore more bedtime reading in general. I loved the old volume of Good Housekeeping magazines, was it? I think it was. So yes, more please!
You just unlocked such an old core memory!! I didn’t recognize the front cover but as you continued to read the stories I just felt the strongest sense of deja vu until I saw one of the stories that was my favorite! Wow what a great throwback! Thank you for your always amazing content!!
I am kind of fell in love with that "Bedtime stories" rubric. It is so nice and soft - I finally feel some tingles after the long time. So I will be waiting for the next one. Thank you for all work what you did and do!
I have to admit, I find your commercials (promos at the beginning) really relaxing, sometimes more than your main program. I don’t know if it’s just me. Great job Moon.
I loved this book as a child over 50 years ago! Thanks for the lovely memories of my grandma reading this to me. Please read more. My favorite is how I do love to go up in a swing…
Your voice is, as always, so comforting to listen to. I love the way how you incorporate the whispers into the soft spoken speech. IMO you’re still the best in switching between them as a beautiful ASMR trigger 🙏.
This is crazy...I'm was literally searching for reading asmr (with rain sounds) but this will do nicely! I'll have to make my own with rain as it's seeming quite rare....
My absolute favorite asmr artist 🥰 if you haven’t seen the rest of her channel, go take a look bc she has the most magical and detailed asmr videos I have ever seen.
this was like super epic timing cause i just finished sobbing bc i had a bad feeling something bad was gonna happen and had to convince myself everythings fine so this makes everything fine no more world just new goodnight moon video
I'm currently working on my bachelor's thesis and it's so difficult to relax and switch my mind off between writing and reading and researching, although I know that rest is important too. But watching your videos makes it easier for me to actually put all of those thoughts about my thesis away for a moment and just breathe! So, thank you for making these calming videos. I really appreciate it 🥺💛
@@sarahplamer7922 Thank you! 💖 It's about cat paintings in the 18th century in France and how the 18th century is a sort of turning point or rather a time of redemption for cats after they were associated with witchcraft in the middle ages and therefore often condemned to death as well. Before the middle ages cats were seen as symbols of fertility and motherhood and this notion slowly makes its return throughout the 18th century! There are really wonderful (and often funny looking) cat paintings by Jean-Baptiste Oudry and Jean-Baptiste Perronneau (somehow every french guy in this era was called some variation of Jean 😂) and later towards the beginning of the 19th century by Marguerite Gérard. One of my favourite paintings is The Angora Cat by Jean-Honoré Fragonard and Marguerite Gérard! Sorry for rambling on so much but I really love my topic 🥰

A Child's Garden of Verses. I loved that when I was a kid. I had a "selections from" version of it in the "Dandelion Library" collection when I was a kid.
When I was little my mom would read to me a book of poems as I fell asleep called “Where the Sidewalk ends.” This video gave me the same feeling, thank you Erin.
I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a dog that resembles a stuffed animal quite as much as Eddie.
I'm inclined to agree! 🥺🧸
Right, like a weighted plushie!
I thought it was a plushie until I saw it breathing, so cute
I’m still not convinced

I feel like the reason Eddie is always sleeping is because he’s actually a sentient teddy bear.
Best plot twist in this video is the soft fleesey-looking blanket in the left-hand corner turning out to be a dog
I haven’t been read to in years, and I find it so wonderful to experience that joy again.
