Last Time I was at Knotts, Early 90's, I want to say 91 or 92. All the Rides showcased here were still here. If I go back soon, I probably wouldnt recognize the Park Today. Loved Parachute, Montezooma Revenge, and Boomerang. 😎🎢👍
The last great days of Knott's before all the roller coasters came in and ruined it. It was very basic and simple and I liked it like that. I remember the Sky Jump ride. My aunt and uncle at the time forced me to go on it at age ten when I didn't want to and I was scared out of my mind. That cage was weak and jiggled up high. I felt I could die at any moment as the wind came in.
Great video! Corkscrew was the first rollercoaster I've been on. I went to knott's back in 1986 I also went on sky jump and got a sky jump pen that moves. I was just a kid! But great memories!!

I never got the chance to see the Corkscrew cause it was replaced with Boomerang, which is still at Knott's. 1996 was the year that the Roaring 20's turned into the Boardwalk. I miss the Kingdom of the Dinosaurs ride, it closed in 2004. It's time for the Parachutes to come home. I'm working on a tribute video for the rides that left after CF took over Knott's. I sure miss those days.
Don't worry, the Corkscrew is alive and still twisting the day away. It was sold to Silverwood Theme Park in Idaho in 1990. It was the world's first successfully looping roller coaster. The Corkscrew was my 1st rollercoaster I ever rode when I was 5 years old in 1981. The last time I rode the Corkscrew at Silverwood, I set a personal record of 75 times in one day. Look up Silverwood, & see the Corkscrew in action today. Hello from Phoenix Arizona!
Haha, my best friend and I got stuck at the top and they brought out firemen with those nets from the cartoons! They wanted us to jump haha. Luckily they got it started
I always thought it would have been cool if it had REAL parachutes. Miss this place...last time I was there was fall of 1992. Was planning on going on vacation this July and visiting Knott's if this stupid virus thing would end....oh well...maybe later
Exactly the years I adored this place. Pretty much went 100 times a yr for several yrs.
I was a Ride Operator in Fiesta Village in 1988. This is a great video, that brings back some really great memories for me.
