  • Hello dear Friends enjoy this delicious Haitian style Oatmeal porridge | LabouYi Avwan from my kitchen to yours . As always thank you for watching and may God bless you all from Dee’s kitchen Rendezvous with love
    Ingredients List
    2 cups of Oatmeal soaked in whole milk in 2 cups of whole milk (15 minutes)
    Lime skin
    1 teaspoon of ginger
    1/2 cup of sugar
    1 can of evaporated milk
    1/2 of teaspoon of butter
    1/2 teaspoon of Almond extract (Haitian)
    1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
    1 teaspoon of nutmeg
    1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
    Cinnamon Sticks (Few)
    Bay leaves
    Star Anise (few)
    1/2 teaspoon of salt

    I just copied this recipe. In fact it’s in the pot right now lol. Only thing I added extra was some coconut milk. Tastes delicious!! Thank you for this recipe.

    Hi! I had left a comment on the boost immune video. I don't know if you saw it, but I had asked can I give this to a two years old? Of course without the the rum. Thank you.

      I’m sorry perhaps I didn’t see it. Yes you can give to a child without alcohol of course just not the same amount. If you as an adult take 1 tablespoon twice a day and the child should take one teaspoon twice a day 🥰 thanks for reaching out

      @@ijl8636 I understand your sister in law. But growing up with this never hurt me nor my child. You can listen to your family or ask around as for me I’m not an expert. I just normally made this when it’s cold season or if my family and I are feeling under the weather. For a two years old I would give non alcohol 1/2 teaspoon. But again listen to your loved ones they might know better. Thank you 🙏
